jeezuz, ya know it never ceases to amaze me how a " i found my project dream car" thread opens up and in no time every naysayer crawls out from under some rock and bashes the guy who bought it for one reason or another! look , the kid got the car, he's only 20, he's full of piss and vinager, and he's got a whole lifetime to do that car. god bless him. is he gonna hit some bumps in the road along the way? ubetcha. we all do. experience is the best teacher, and with that i say, have at it kid! good luck and keep the fire in your belly alive, keep us posted.

Everyone has their own story and their own reasons for doing whatever it is they do. To me, 5G's is an inordinate amount of money to spend on George Washington's axe.
But heck, if it gets you through the doldrums, more power atcha!!

very little of what is in the picture will be with the finished car.

Wanna bet? Im not completely new to this. Who said anything about it being my first car. Do some research before you run your mouth. I have built stuff before. Just not as old as this one. I wont be cutting a damn bit off of this car. It will retain a huge majority of the original steel seen in the pictures. Are you some master fabricator or something? Im good friends with A few. I would not have touched this thing had they told me it was too rough. Ive got it under control. You can stop arguing now. Thanks

I dont think this is GW's axe. :D

The 20, or 50, or 80% ( whatever it works out to be...) that is useble on this car was stamped out of Sheet in ol' Henry's Factory.

And even if it is wrinkled up, it will give you an enormous amount of Information about the shape, sizes, and how parts fit in relation to eachother.

Specially if all the all the doorjambs and inner structure is still there ( damaged or not...)

Sorry guys. I ain't buying. Not for 5 grand. Not for a 20 year old. Y'all can flame me all you want. That "musclecar whiner" bullshit is childish. Grow up. You guys are so scared of a few internet bullies on here. As long as you stay within their realm of what THEY feel is cool and "traditional", it's all good. You say one thing that goes against what the "clique" thinks and they are on you like white on rice. I am not a sheep and not a blind follower. I have my own opinion and will continue to post it. I wonder how tough they are face to face. It's easy to spend other peoples money. I wonder how many of these people would have really laid down the 5k for this car. There are gonna be some that say they would, but I wonder how many really would. This is amazing.

    Hey eddieb,

You can believe whatever you want, but the truth is, you have no idea what the 32 Ford market is like,... heres a offer to any of you naysayers,.... just show me any original steel 1932 Ford 3 window project you can find for 5K or less,... prove me wrong, common they have to be out there right ? just show us !

It's more savable than it looks Eddie. There are a handful of guys around here that could have that looking VERY straight pretty quickly.

Acey- Best of luck to you man! You have some work in front of you but it sure as hell will be worth it :)

Apparently you haven't paid attention... Before you make anymore post's, you should read the thread somemore before you make yourself look like more of an ass than you already have. Dan bought this car for $5K, there have been others who posted similar cars for similar prices. It is what it is and no matter how much you type on your keyboard or want to be an internet rebel and stand up to the man, you will not change it! This is why we are saying you "just don't get it"... If you did, you would understand.

Since your backround is in muscle cars, you should already have an understanding. Back in the 80's before I graduated Highschool, I bought up a few musclecars, cheap... I paid less than $700 for my matching # 69 RS/SS Camaro with 68K on the clock. How much is an original unmolested one needing a light cosmetic restoration today? I paid $225 for my 69' Firebird 400/4spd convertible... You can't buy a fender for one today at that price. I could go on & on but the point is this... A cars value is generally set by supply/demand. There are THOUSANDS of people who want a duece 3 window, hence the inflated price.

If you don't get it still, then maybe you should try lurking for a bit and doing some reading and research until you do. Oh,while you are drinking your "Hater-aide", don't piss down his back and tell him it's raining. He got his dream car, be happy for him, be jealous, be envious... ;)

I couldn't have said it better. I'm 29 now and you wouldn't believe the thousands I've poured into my dreams. The money thing is pretty volatile. Living your life and chasing your dreams is priceless. Best wishes.

Nice score bro - you will not regret investing 5 g's in a 32 3-window. It actually doesn't look too bad - tack in some bracing inside and begin messaging her back to life. If by chance some of the goofs on here have got you down and you want your money back +, just send me a PM and I'll gladly take her off your hands. Oh, and just in case some of you guys missed it..... Its not a Gibbons glass body or a 2009 Brookville....
ITS A REAL DEAL 1932 FORD 3 WINDOW COUPE.....

  26. Hey Dan, why dont you just fuck with em and put up a new thread and say your going to make a roadster out of it...................then you will get all the 'negatories' telling you they could fix that thing in a minute LOL

    Actually, i have a 41' Ambassador!

Ramblers suck. I wouldnt pay $500 for a nice one.

Im just cheap i guess. 32' Fords are something i can live without

  28. Dude i wish you all the best.

The guys that do the knocking are the ones you'll never take for a drive in it, they'll be the ones that cop a garage/house full of smoke and burnt rubber once your ride is finished and you fry the whiskers off the tires.

Guys were knocking my dad for 25 years on his project, he's registered it two weeks ago, next few weekends will be going around to show those who knocked it, what they'll be missing.

At the end of the day, like a previous post said, at least it'll be real steel. I wish i could've found real steel...

    Again man, all the best.

You need a pair or rear fenders, not great ones, just good enough to align things once you get a firewall. If your subrails are good, that firewall and rear fenders will become the base of all your body alignment and corrections. Post some photos of the progress when you can.
