It simply sits over a little, 6" round filter. The seller claims it's a rare Mr Gasket piece.
He's priced it like something real at $800.

We Have No Idea How Well This Weird Combination Worked, But The Fact That Rick Found It On M/T’s Dyno Indicates That The Engine Started And Ran, At Least.

Yes it’s chain drive it’s a Howard’s drive I believe I seen one in person at gnrs a few years back on a red roadster pickup it was a real neat piece

 

The two socket head bolts in front of the throttle blades say it’s a bug catcher.
Bug has throttle plates 3 11/16” diameter, bird has 4 3/8” and the buzzard has 5”.

 

Birds beware? Look at what the driver is sitting over, I think that he would have other things to worry about.
