AJ is looking over a Holman-Moody marine SOHC with a water cooled blower case. The case was double walled and you can see the fittings at the top.

  3. Wayne you have out done yourself with that last group of pics. Wow, fantastic.:)

I bet those scoops don't help.

  6. You're probably right, ….and they're certainly NOT Coast Guard Approved. I very much remember them though, in many ads, and in the chrome accessories isle of automotive stores. Cal Custom , I'm sure, was trying to emulate the Hilborn bugcatcher injector, but, to me, the darned thing was just way under scale to be taken too seriously. Back then, I bought Cragar S/S mags for $25 bucks each at Pep Boys, when I was in High School.

  7. White_Heat_pg_87[1].JPG Another trip down Memory Lane. Twin 6-71s and Hilborn "Two-Holers" being tried in '62. Although the speed listed here is humorous today, the idea of more blower capacity, turning slower to keep the charge cooler, is used quite a bit today, with 14-71s and such.

  8. Louie Unser built 427 Ford at 1965 Nationals.jpg Sorry about the crappy photo. Engine is Unser built 427 Ford at '65 Dragboat Nationals. Hilborn Injection, hydraulic throttle linkage, tall zoomies and long ram tubes are "boss", man. Check out that Moon "Weekend Warrior" hand-pump pressureized fuel tank set-up.

  9. Scott Slot.jpg Winged Express.jpg "The Slot" Scott Injector, very unique looking. Hey, even Mad Max had to have one!

    Another wild one Spike.
I've seen a handful of those twin blowers over the years, never that one, nor that early.
Romeo was a pretty industrious dude.

  11. bbd635ef1c553b2abc42c54f5e0ed5e5.jpg This is the photo I love best of the Scott Slot injector! All eight candles are firing and fat. ( Talk about zero oil pan to ground clearance ! ) I think this may be Larry Dixon Sr., in the Howard Cams Special, prior to the Howard Cams Rattler. Thanks DDDenny on the reply about Romeo Palamides. I recall seeing some of his dual blower set-ups on wild show cars from the sixties.

  12. Thanks, Mike. Although, I'm not so sure about that.:) Yet, I have to say that Jalopyrama provides me with a great venue for getting some neat pix.

  17. Thanks Spike. I remember these cars from when I was a kid, the dual blower set ups are always fun to look at.;)

  18. Hard-Hat-Hauler-George-Barris-with-model-.jpg Three blowers. Too bad this is another George Barris, non-functional, tasteless pile. Note the 3 blowers are belted together, not to the crankshaft.Don't get me wrong,....Sam Barris was a metal master, and George supplied the TV industry with some neat cars, most notable are the Batmobile ( 90% Ford's design and bodywork ), the Munster Coach ( driveable, but again, fake induction ), and the Dragula, ( driveable with functional induction )...but the majority of George's cars looked like he ran through Pep Boys with a magnet....just sayin'.

  19. imagesQOL039UR.jpg Another vintage dragboat….early Cadillac, blown with Hilborn upright "two-holer".

  20. 6-71GMC--600x600.jpg The classic Hilborn 6-71 bugcatcher injector. Like the Enderle, these are still made, and both are timeless.
