OK it's CHEVY time LOL ;)

Probably the more unusual things I found to start it off.

DUGAN HEADS. Sorry but some head shots too. Don't know anything more about them just found them on the web somewhere years ago.

EDIT: found I have had these photos since Jan 2012

But look at the SPIDER of an intake manifold. Bet it runs nice and cool with all that room for airflow under it.

One of my old friends has one of these hyperpack set ups in a 4 speed 64 Dart... These set ups are really awesome looking!

So far he hasn't been able to out run my Valiant, but I haven't ran him in years. Perhaps if we ever meet again, he may have made his run stronger.... Who knows? I would love to run him again! Muhahahaha!

  13. Great thread........those Duggan heads were made here in Australia, think there were supposed to be versions for the Oz Holden V8 as well as the small block Ford and Chev V8s............however my personal interest is 318 Polys of which I see there have been a couple pictured on this thread.........heres my 1962 318 Poly.....the 1st pic is the only one I have from 1975 when I put a factory 1957/58 cast iron twin 4 intake on the poly with a pair of Offy Cross Ram adaptors and 600 Holleys also shows the single 4 weiand intake............2nd pic is how its been since the late 70's with a Weiand single four intake & Holley and pic # 3 is another 1957/58 Factory cast iron intake with Edelbrocks that it will get soon..............many thanks for this thread........Andy Douglas.

The Duggan heads looked familiar to me and I just realized that they look a lot like Barnes Sprint Car heads developed by Al Barnes in the early '80's. I never saw them on a sprint car but Al Hall ran them on his Alcohol Dragster using a one-off blower manifold and the longest blower belt ever seen on a drag strip. I'd post a picture but don't know how to copy one from the 'net and get it into this thread. Maybe somebody can do that, the heads are pictured on Google, I searched Barnes cylinder heads.
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Remember back when the NHRA motto was "Ingenuity in Action"? Lots of that here^^^ Old dad gave up his belt to hold the fuel tank in place, they wanted a Potvin drive but couldn't afford it so they fabricated one and how about the 1 1/2" water pipe caps (pre Hot Heads) for the water in the block cooling system?

Poly engines are so overlooked and under rated. There is a race version out there that looked super cool and made huge HP....

Thanks Andy Dodge! Your engine looks superb!

I am a six cylinder guy myself. I own several flatheads, both the 23.5" & the 25.25" versions, and a few slant sixes, and a couple of 5.9 Cummins. I have a running poly 318, either a 1965 or 1966 I believe. I just never found a use for it. LOL

    Another one from the internet

That DUGGAN setup (#575) is Australian. This is another rare Duggan setup for the local GM (Holden) V8
