Hot Rods THE INDUCTION THREAD

Awesome! Now we need to get through with winter to take 'em back out. Still tuning the new fuel system. Boost referenced regulator. Had to dial it back because at high rpm it was pushing fuel past the seats & flooding. It's close, spun the big block to 7k last week on a little road test. We'll see how she runs this spring at the track.

 

Wow. Sounds like she is happy. How much boost did you have at 7k?

 

Around 5 psi on the street underdriven 5%. This way it can run pump gas, it dyno'd 754 hp that way. Previous session swapping the pulleys and overdriving with 110 octane Sunoco race fuel pushed it over 800.
Since this is the induction thread, that's a Dyers 8-71 with a pair of boost referenced 950 double pumpers.

Some early Cadillac/ Allard stuff- I guess fuel pressure wasn't an issue...

The old dragster scoop done in white , I also have a old bird catcher scoop, has lots of sentimental value. It was on my hot rod when I was a teen, I may revive that scoop as well.

Ok- homemade ram manifold, and some careful cyl head work really made this tiny Studebaker engine come alive and put on a real show whenever we showed up at a dragstrip.
No one expected much until we made a couple passes with the wheels in the air.
Lots of fun.

426 HEMI 3x2 intake manifold... You could buy these new for about $700.00...
