I would love to see more photos of that Davies DOHC setup!! I've been trying to find more info about it for years, so I could 3D model and 3D print a scale-model version, but online searches turn up the same 3 or 4 small photographs, so I'd have to do a lot of guesswork. This is the first time I've had a clear look at it!

can someone explain that extra white pipe from the intake area down towards the exhaust pipes?

 

Road draft tube for crankcase venting.

 

Looks to me like they are pulling exhaust out up there to me.
Not sure why.

 

The four carb log manifold has no exhaust heat crossover passage. Instead of just capping the passage in the heads he added pipes to his headers probably just for the shock value.

 

Thanx. If it is a road draft tube it's a new one on me. Every one I've ever seen ran out the back of the engine.
