I’ve lived up here for years and have always missed the Jackson car show for one reason or another. Finally went today. Here’s some pictures of H.A.M.B. friendly cars. There were plenty of nice cars but a lot of them had OT oversized wheels.
There were three car shows within a stone’s throw of our house today. Had to try Jackson. Some more…. (I think this little coupe was my favorite) Note the 8 track tape player…. I thought this was my old ‘56 at first, nope…. The end. And a right nice one at that….
No, actually I was all revved up to go to Eagle Field today but my sidekick (a.k.a.- wife) was having a bad day with her arthritis on Friday so we decided to see how she felt when she woke up. Not good enough for the 2 hour plus ride to Eagle Field and a day in the sun. So, it was either go by myself or stay home. I looked at NorCal Car Culture website to see what else was going on and BINGO, the Jackson show that I hadn't ever been to. There's shade and places to sit in Jackson (also shopping ) so I said, "well, I'm gonna go to the show in Jackson then". She wanted to go and enlisted our daughter come along to help her window shop. Fun all around, days like this are the best. Did I mention that they bought us some cool goodies at the Serbian bakery? Oh boy.
A Nurse I met in Hospital stay this way mentioned Serbian sausage or kebobs just today. I live near a big metropolis...gotta check one of those out...you made me hungry Bob...
Wow! Didn't even know about it. Wifey's cousin lives in Jackson and we go up once every coupla years for a visit. I reckon I'll have to put this on my "Show Calendar" for next year! It'd be a nice cruise up in the Ol' Furd!
