I am having trouble viewing images in threads. Any ideas on what I could do?

 

When in the classifieds click on the search icon (magnifying glass) and a drop down menu will come up one of the tabs is what state you want to search. You do need to put a item into the search box like Ford or something.

 

This is what it is looking like for me. But it is only on some threads. not all

I've been living in Germany 17 years now and I love it. Just about everything works as it should. Everyone works hard, unemployment is almost negligible, and as a result taxes are low and public services great. It takes time to adjust to their mindset but it's worth it.
And I think that's why Ryan has a German working on his Forum. He wants it to work first time out. You wouldn't want the HAMB working like the Obamacare website would you!

I was joking about the Germans being tough to work with. I speak German and have several friends in Germany. Also, my in-laws are Donauschwaebisch. They are all hardworking with an amazing attention to detail. I appreciate the Deutsche ordnung und fleiss. That's why I was curious about "The German". No comment on the Obamacare debacle.

2 questions

1. When you rolled your cursor over a thread title while scrolling, our previous version would show the beginning several words of the posters message. That is not working for me, is this a setting on my end?

2. Our previous version had the option of selecting "all pages" of a thread and it would open them all. I do not see that option on our new version. Is that an option?

How come it tells me I don't have permission to post in parts for sale? I've never had a problem before. Just wondering if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong thanks guys.

 

Unlike several other recent internet-related redesigns (Firefox & Facebook mobile, I'm looking in your direction), I like this and it actually seems to increase usability.

I am not so old that I don't embrace evolution and improvement. I like cool designs...cars, architecture, furniture, you name it. I like and respect people and enterprises that push the envelope when they don't have to....It is what makes things fun to look forward to. I own a 64 Riviera, a 39 Ford Deluxe hot rod, a 63 Chevy pickup and several race cars. I only add this info to let you know that I am commited to our hobby.

This site has been my #1 thing to do when I fire up this PC every morning. It has allowed me to learn so much from so many great and gifted men and women....I have met so many folks at "HAMB events" around the country.....what a blast.

I don't know Ryan, but I dig his resolve, inspirations, vision and cool taste in cars.

BUT, this latest update SUCKS. It doesn't feel "at home" and I am still trying to kill the ads. I am writing this after purposely avoiding this site for several days because I no longer feel at home nor feel comfortable trying to navigate it. Ryan, you are the man and through the 8 years I have been on here, you never let us down....until now. Sorry to be so direct, but this was NOT a good decision. I am sure you have studied who the Traditional Guy is. You are super smart. I think (after looking in the mirror) that I AM your traditional customer/follower and I have a hard time believing that other 55 year old traditional guys like me are not just as frustrated. Hey-I have a smartphone, several lapstops and a fucking IPad....I think you are getting in over your skis. Been there! I am sure I will gert SLAMMED by those on the HAMB who "have your back." But, if THEY had any courage, they might try to help you like I am sincerely doing.

I don't like people who bitch without recommending a solution. Here is my FIRST step in improvement: TELL US HOW TO KILL THE ADS! After that, then we all can work things out like in the years past!

OK, that seems to work. What about hitting reply and it quotes that post even tho I didn't clik quote or want to quote. Do I have to go to the bottom of the page each time? THX

 

Searching is a pain to imo.
