Looks like the social forums are down -- at least, I can no longer find the portal to enter them. Should I be worried?

You are not alone Tony. It's disappeared for all of us, but I'll see you tomorrow morning at your grandson's carshow at High Tech High in San Marcos!.

  4. Ryan had mentioned that he's going to be doing some upgrades...some functions may be temporarily down. Should be fixed soon, hang in there!

We are doing some work on social forums at the moment. Should be back shortly.

  6. Been a "flathead" guy for 53 of my 66 years on the planet.I have known about the h.a.m.b. for years before I joined 2 years ago and I am struggling with the new format.I was NOT born with a computer attached at the hip like other younger members, but I applaud your efforts RYAN for making it available to all those who are interested. Thanks flatheadjohn47 Texas.

Is there any hope for the broken image links (to our old albums ) getting any closer ? I believe I read a while back that it was on your list ? I do understand that any images loaded from our albums on this new version will load correctly. I might have missed your response to a question I have asked before.. but why are SOME of the Photobucket links that worked just fine in the OLD version not connecting under this NEW version ?
Will these Photobucket ii 1.jpg christy link.jpg df 1.jpg frank senna link.jpg links be fixed or has the baby been thrown out with the bath water ?

This will be fixed eventually. It's just taking me longer than expected.

Eventually is GREAT news on the image fix. My worst fears are over.

  10. I can't access the 52-59 Ford Group on my iPhone 5 using Safari. I can access all other groups on Safari and I can access the Ford group on google, just not Safari.
I can also access the Ford group on my computer.
    Anyone else having this problem?

  11. How do I email a tread?

  12. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but how does one delete old PM's?

  13. Oops, I mean, how do I email a THREAD.

Ran into this new post from a spammer:

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...um-pure-forskolin-general-information.927005/

There used to be a "report post button" to advise the mods but in the new format I looked all over creation and can't find one.

EDIT: this time when I went back to that spam post found the report button swear it wasn't there the first time I looked SORRY

Found another thing I posted this first in the wrong type forum and went back to delete the first post and found no way to delete it. Is is still possible to delete your own post?

EDIT: found that when posting in this thread it does have the delete post option BUT that is not present when starting a new thread?

  18. Guess I missed it in the How To... When I log on, in the old version it told me the last time I visited the site. Then I would go back to that time and move forward.
I tried the "Go to First unread" but it doesn't seem to help. I'll try that again, but any tip would be appreciated. Thanks

  19. I miss that feature as well. It was a handy reference point to know just where you were when last logged in.

  20. Don, Let me know if you learn anything about this...I picked up a Model A ford yesterday. It started life as a real roadster...over the years the body went to hell so it was replaced with this Fiberglass body. Been done a good while...but it still looks great! Wondering who made the body??? IMG00095-20120904-1235.jpg IMG00095-20120904-1235.jpg

  21. Cool little roadster, Murph. Do you know what area of the country it came from? If it's an East Coast car it could be an Anderson Industries body. I'm pretty sure they did a '28-'29 roadster body back in the day. If the car is from the West it could be a Gibbons or Wescott. Hard to tell without some sort of manufacturers tag and some weren't apt to put any identification on their bodies. Could even be one of those Classic Motorcarriage creations. Just remember, you're not a roadster kinda guy so let me have it.:D

  22. Sorry for the thread hi-jack. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.:)

A couple of things which would be nice:

    - The ability of the forums to spread completely across a window, rather than being a fixed width with huge white bars on either side.

    - Remove the hidden multi-page links which only appear when you mouse over that particular thread title. Sometimes I use those to easily find a particular thread.

    Impressed so far!

  24. I'm also interested in this feature. Is it likely to happen?

This may have been mentioned but it would be nice if we were able to upload images from our personal files instead of using a hosting site / url.
