This rod looks killer! All the right pieces in all the right places. Even though it's local to me,the only view iv'e had of it ;was the Friday eve before the TRJ show. He was pulling out of Burger King in Sinky, looked and sounded excellent com'n at me. It certianly deserves all the accolades it gets.

It is amiss when a car has a miss. That car is a hittin on all 8. I have never seen a chrome '32 grille before. Was it done very often? And "textured" is such a good word for that car.

Love this car. Photos really do it justice. Ryan, do you scan your own negatives or do you have them done by a shop? Looking into buying a scanner so I can quit using the local CVS.

  17. I was staying at the Blue Palm in Wildwood and I saw Jerry up by the boardwalk with his car. I just figured he was taking a few pictures. Had I known you were there too I probably would have walked up and got in the way! :)

I scan my own... The best scanner I've found is the Epson V700.

    You should have!

Thank you Ryan for the beautiful article and pics. It was a pleasure meeting you and your son.

This car was built with lots of help and input from friends along the way. The Aces and Eights Car Club crew, Larry Kozlowski (Koz on here) , and Eli Horst to name a few.

This old heap is my little time machine..

  21. I was also lucky enough to spend two weekends in a row around Jerry and his car. Jerry is a great guy, I just wanted to stare at his car and take in all the details. It is definitely a car that exemplifies the look most of us strive for. Thanks for the great post Ryan, it was great seeing you on the east coast.

Thanks Ryan I actually looked into a used V500 or V600. They've all had good reviews. The 700 is north of 300 bucks still.

Ryan, artistes tend to be over critical of their own work. Damn the "real" photogs, you done good my friend!! Oh, by the way those taillights are just the TITS. Bravo, Carp
