I don't recognize the shop or the dude sitting next to your Dad. I've been wondering who the seat belongs to since you posted photos of it. I forgot to ask you on Sunday.

  3. Ahhhhhhh........nothing like spending some quality time with pop's dream cruising in the shop and hopeing for a fast Spring!! :)

I recognize the yellow hot rod as the one that was on the hoist BUT I can't place the walls and the stuff leaned up against it.

What are you using for tierod ends. I like them! I've got one on my 32 but got it in a pile of junk. Early GM?

They sure look a lot like Model A...they're not?

Do you have any pics you could post of the center crossmember in that frame? It looks really neat.

Thanks for the update pics. I always tune into your posts...I dig the attention to detail.

Are those 32-34 spindles? If so, what king pins/thrust bearings did you use?

Why the long tie rod end? Was is for clearance or just for looks? It's neat that you won't really see the clamp when the wheels are straight.

    Thanks again,

    Neal

It's ok. If your into that really cool, absolutely traditional, super bad *** hot rod type of build. At least it has the right motor in it!

    Thanks guys!! :)

The tie rod ends were laying around for the last 20 years and were screaming to go on this ch***is, but the clamp was interfearing with the wishbone and draglink. So added a foot welded ground machined....I think they turned out cool

Neal they are the early spindles, as for the bearings, I donno,
My customer bought them from the early V8 garage and had them sent..they are VARY thin two piece deals, neat...ackermen has been redone and works good.

B***, here is another post with more pics: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78911

The jig is not lonely, it is spending some quality time with my Buick project, which is currently in the sixth year of my 5 year plan. ;)
