Very nice work. John, I bet you can't wait to drive this thing -- it's gonna be a blast to run it down the road!
The chassis has been sitting for a while waiting for the axle and a few other front end parts to get back from the plater. Keith just texted me today with a photo of the front end together and the car back on all fours. Body work is progressing nicely and should be ready for paint soon. I am mixing colors like a mad scientist but have not landed on "IT" yet. We hope to have it moving under it's own power by the Roundup, but that will depend on the painter and the upholsterer.......and me getting a @#%& color I like.
Check again There is the Auderer Roadster and the Mearns coupe in the shop. This is the Mearns coupe thread. It's still a coupe.
So no real updates as we are still waiting for the body to get done at paint... BUT, Keith did get the front axle located and the chassis rolling today. We've got a lift getting installed tomorrow and needed to be able to move it...
A lift. Next thing you know, they'll be installing LS motors and IFS/IRS Jack stands are traditional! haha

The headlight bar started out as a SoCal speed shop dropped Stainless bar but Keith modified the hell out of it.
You should set up a time laps shot of Keith working on the car. It would be highly entertaining (and perhaps a bit blurry because he moves so fast).
We are days away from getting the body back from paint... and so the chassis is now back in the shop and wiring has begun. I gotta feeling this one is gonna move quickly now.
Keith fired the nailhead for the first time about 5 minutes ago. Tom Branch built the motor... and man, does it sound sinister.
Love the tach drive generator, are you going to use a Corvette tach? If so make sure it's a generator driven tach not a distributor driven, calibration is different between the two. Hey just a heads up I noticed the voltage regulator is a Prestolite/Auto lite but the generator is Delco. Make sure the regulator is an "A" circuit ( grounds the feild) Delco generators are "A" circuit, some Prestolite regulators were "B" circuit ( feild fed hot ). Beautiful job can't wait to see it finished.
