Congrats Larry, you and that car deserve it.

Now's the time to bring it up. Aren't you glad you didn't sell her way back when, when you got all down and out on her?

    Hey Larry,

I was shocked that you won because I just don't see the attraction.

It is just a Evil looking, chopped, fenderless, Black'd out '32 Ford Hot Rod,
with an interior full of used airplane accessories. If I owned it I would paint
it a pastel green with a peach tweed inteior and some of those "Bling, Bling"
wheels and six flat screens. I guess I've been watching to much Pimp my Ride.

Winning the Starbird trophy is OK, but winning the Youngblood pick is priceless$$$

    Kongrats Larry......

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Larry, Many congrats on the awards - Really glad you liked Kenny's rendering. He was doing them at the show at Lake Havasu. He did one of my '41 Ford Tudor - it hangs proudly in the living room.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy named Larry with a black Ford. :)

Seriously. You've put a ton of thought, time, and money into it. You deserve everything you win.

    Congrats!

  25. I want to see a pic of it doing a burnout, then I will gush all over it:D

    Larry,
    Are you my evil twin?
    Were we seperated at birth?
I've been building an almost identical 5W for 6 years!
4 1/2" chop, Hemi, riveted bench seat w/ almost no upholstery,
    drilled pedals and shifter.
Was shooting for Deuce Reunion, but guess what, that ain't happening.
Now shooting for early summer for a cross country drive in august.
Congrats on the car and the award, but I know that wasn't the
reason you built it. I'll send some pics of my car, but most are too
big, and I'm computer challenged. If it doesn't have points and a
generator, okay alternator, I'm in trouble. Hope to meet up with you
    some day, and swap stories.
    Alex
ps...i'll try to send resized pics to your email address.

  28. I'd be content with a 'driving shot'.......we all know its beatifully done, but kinda reminds me of that 'sweet & innocent girl next door'.....one day she'll be a woman..... get out there and drive that thing....hard.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:D

  29. I can understand the last 2 awards (at the risk of sounding like a broken record....CONGRATS!), but the first one...radical rod? What's that?!

Well done to the builders. EXCELLENT work. It looks awesome with the hood down, but get it out on the road....it isn't a car until it drives!!

Way to go, Larry. That's a real beauty. The only way to make it better is to get some miles on it. LOTS OF MILES!!!!! Enjoy,Enjoy,Enjoy!!
