Paul, you are the MAN!! I totaled my car last year and wound up with one crushed verebrate, one fractured and a bruised spinal cord. Two rods, six screws, a bone graft from a cadaver and 22 staples and two days later, I walked out of the hospital! Trust me, I realize just how blessed I am.
You, on the other hand, weren't as lucky. The way you have delt with your situation is a mind blowing inspiration to many, many people. You could have wallowed in self pity and we would never know you. Paul, I stand (no sick pun intended) in total awe of you sir. Your vehicle is AWESOME, but YOU are much more so. God bless you, Pat

Your panel came out amazing! It may not be "period perfect" but its "perfect, period."

Do/Did you ever have any plans of maybe having some swivel seats and converting to hand controls?

Any chance you would be able to share some build pics, particularly the floor/ramp setup? I showed it to my dad and my bro and they both thought it was converted to front wheel drive because there was no hump over the rear end. It is amazing how low the floor is for your ramp. Got any underside pics? Thanks again for responding and sharing.

Congratulations on your Freedom Ride and kudos to your wife and all who pushed you to get up and out! Enjoy.
My brother has been a quadraplegic since he was 18, he's 47 now, but he rides in a raised top van since he's 6'3" and 225#.
He'll get a kick out of seeing your rig even though he's not a car guy. He's a Science/Fantasy Fiction guy.

Thanks for sharing the photos and such a great story. Congratulations on fulfilling your dream.

The style is definitely period perfect and that's all that matters. It looks more like it was actually created in the early 60's than being built now because you captured what it was like back then perfectly.

Your working phone takes it a step further...I've always assumed most of the phones in the showcars of that era were phony props. Great idea on your part.

I somehow missed this thread, but found it through a link (Can you be into cars and not drive?). I've seen pic's of the 'Kart and made possative comments before. But I'm glad to see these extra details and read the "back story" (of course, no pun). Mate, she's a total stunner and I'm glad that she was able to bring ya back!

Now you need to ship it to the states and drive it across the country to show it off in person!
