the ***le of this post scared me ," the LAST 45 days in the life..."
I thought it was gone or destroyed!!!
Anyway that is one nice looking car, and I am glad it is safe.

When I was a little kid there was a 48 olds convertible up in the riverbank that we used to play in. I still have the cowltag somewhere. When I went back years later to save or get parts off it , it had already been cleaned up... oh well.

Lookin good! Are those the old wheel covers or the borrowed ones you are running for the show? Were you changing styles, or just putting a better set on?

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words regarding Big Olds. It's been a long road and I really apprecaite your encourgment over the years. There has been so many HAMB friends involved over the years it's mindboggling. Sometime soon I'm going to do a post with all the names and faces of HAMB pals that have lent a hand.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for just being here for me.

Big Olds DOES need a girlfriend;):D

I'm taking him down to Cobo tomorrow night after work. Show actually starts on Friday at noon. I wish you guys were coming to town for it.:(

Yes, Dad has recently had two 1950 Holiday coupes and a '50 Fastback.

Yeah, that really does ****. You should be here in Detroit this weekend and so should Boyd and Lil John.:(

The tire rub just started since the spindles. Mike swaped out front wheels for ones with a different offset BUT it still seems like I'll probably have to swap my tires for 195's?

ONLY because we're pals will I let that statement slide.:p
I sure hope your Dad will be there this weekend. I LOVE his hugs!:D

He's been after me for one of those stickers for MONTHS now. I wonder if he'll trade that little angel of his for one?:D

We grown cocaine as cash crops here in the Detroit area. Everyone's back yards are white during the growing season.:p

Bummer you couldn't have saved it yourself. They make awsome rides.

The ones in these photos are the borrowed ones. We put them on for the photo shoot....twice BUT Big Olds will travel with them off. I don't want to take a chance of anything happening to them since they are borrowed. Mine are similiar BUT do not have the spinner in the center. I just LOVE them and will be actively searching for a nice set this summer.

I have sweetie and am hoping I'll have some time at work tomorrow to follow up. Lots on my plate right now, besides the show even. I'll explain at the RoundUp. Thanks for the lead xoxo

I would have given just about anything to have you there on Saturday pointing stuff out and telling stories about when this piece was made and how this was done. We DO have to get together this summer. I'd love to show your whole family the car.

THANKS! I'll call them first thing in the morning and see if they can next day air me them......as long as they aren't too expensive. They might have to wait till after RoundUp then:D

The Detroit News was one that did a phone interview last week but did not send a photographer out. He pretty much got the facts straight, didn't use any of my pals names that I mentioned though but I guess the whole interview can't be printed.:D

There will be an article in tomorrows Detroit Free Press, they are the ones that sent out a photographer on Saturday and Big Olds will be in tomorrows Livonia Observer as well. They sent a photographer out on Monday night. We'll see tomorrow if they got their facts straight.

I also got interviewed by Derik Stark from the Detroit Auto Scene and I guess that's suppose to be out this week.

Linda Ashley from the PR firm for Championship Auto Shows Inc. really worked overtime on the Big Olds story.:D:D:D

  27. Denise,

Great coverage as always, Big Olds looks great. Have a great time this weekend, wish I could have made it this year.

    Maybe next year,
