Here's a new cover I just completed. It's another in the 'to chop or not to chop series'.

Because I am going up to make a delivery to Tom and to see his roadster. Here's a cover to inspire him.

Thankyou Gary. Here at 'The Magazine of The Mind" publishing company, we aim to please.
Now here's another that caters to the Model A crowd. And is designed with the 'less is more' way of thinking.

  8. Hey Whodaky, here's a pic to go with your working at home cover.

All of your covers lately plus the windscreen you gave me have inspired me to get some done on the Chev. So I dragged her out of the back shed and did a quick mock up.

    Then I deskinned the doors..

and made a cardboard template based on the original wood to replace it with metal.

Looking good FB. I know it's only a mock up. but that grille will be coming way down; won't it!!!!
I to am a firm believer in making cardboard patterns and templates.
    Thanks for the post.

  10. Yeah mate, grille looks alot higher in the pic than it actually is but it does need to come down a fair way. It's just sitting on a piece of u channel shoved in as a crossmember at the moment. And it is a lot cheaper to mess up a $1 piece of cardboard than a $20 piece of steel especially if you have to remake it a few times.

    Thankyou Gary.
Have a good hot rod weekend. I think Tony is going and will be a passenger with Pat; in his A roadster. I look forward to seeing your images. May even use some in some covers.
Thankyou for the encouragement re the covers. Obviously I am still enjoying doing them. Still been getting them done, what with the house renovations I have been doing. Bathroom is finished apart from the floor and am now working on the front bedroom.

Hey Tom, that was only a proof cover for the magazine. Here at 'The Magazine Of the Mind' publishing company we are waiting for your submission of the article. But we can wait.
Here's some more inspiration in the form of a new cover, I think you will like.

  29. As promised Geoff- photos and a brief run down on what was a unbelievable weekend just gone on the RCCRC Reliability Run, firstly a huge thanks to all the guys that put on this run, somehow it just gets better and better every year. As per every year I also got to meet some new Hotrod mates that I had wanted to meet and talk with which was a real highlight as well.
Friday night pics to start with, this was a huge night.
