  5. They just keep getting better and better Geoff. I have gone over the last few weeks of covers that you have done and I cannot pick a favourite they're all awesome. Thanks.

    Thanks for that GaryD.
I can see how far I have come since I first started doing these. In my eyes some are still better than others.
    Here's my latest.

  7. Hey Whodaky
Really like the previous cover with the roadsters, a picture says a thousand words hey. This cover is also way cool, I wonder if Gran Pappy Amus is telling Ma about the boys who came home in the bomber and their new passion, building, way neat ford hot rods? ha ha.

    Thankyou Gary.
I think your reading my mind. I do have a bit of a story for some of the covers I am doing
    Here's another featuring a '32 roadster.

  10. Oh yeah that rolling bones built roadster is one of my favourite all time hotrods...

That 5 window with moon discs really looks sweet, I ran moon discs on the A model for a while but they never really looked like what I wanted but they really suit that 5 window....

Garyd I agree on yours thoughts re moon discs. There's not to many hot rods they suit in my opinion. They are more suited to competition hot rods/cars.
    Here's a cover I just completed.

Here's one of my 'chop or not to chop' covers, that has a real twist to it.

I am sure a few of you know Tony's roadster came from New Zealand and was built back in the day as the red channeled roadster pictured on this cover.

  16. You must have read my mind Geoff. Was watching something the other day about NZ hot rods and thought to myself that I didn't think I'd ever seen a picture of Tony's roadster as it was.

Ain't no mind reader here FB. Just pure coincidence, nothing more.
Thanks for the kind words Pete.
Here's a neat twist on a classic Rod and Custom cover.

OK, haven't done a cover with a bike for while. Maybe this will spark some written interest.

  20. The bike cover tells a good story. I've been toying with the idea of buying a bike for a while now (haven't ridden one since I was a kid) but I know it's one of those things where you can't just have one. Better stick to old cars haha.

  21. I just found this picture of your roadster shared by aushotrodhistoy on instagram. [IMG]

....and here's one I took in the early '80s at a Sultan's swap meet at the Preston drive in. That looks like a considerably younger Tony sitting on the front wheel of Vic O'Neil's roadster beside it.

Those early pics of Geoff's roadster are great yblock and FB, love seeing that sort of stuff. Back then I was busy raising kids and cows and didn't get to a lot of events so the T sat in the shed and didn't get out much at all.
Would that be a young Mike Dunn sitting in the roadster waiting for any prospective buyers and who had it between Mike and you Geoff. Only just realised that "Charlie" got his initials on the licence plate way back then!
BTW Geoff I am watching daily but on phone or tablet so you wont get many comments from me due to that.

Geoff, I knew Tony's Roadster was an old kiwi car but didn't know it was channeled and had not seen any photos of it. Thanks for that cover, I love seeing comparisons of the same car years apart.

    Hey Geoff,
I'm stoked!!!!!! Stovebolt sent this to me over the weekend, we drove the 34 to the OUTRIDERS PICNIC where I've been a member nearly since it was revved up again.
Thanx for making my 34 HRM Cover Car ;).
Here's a pic at the fuel joint on the way out wearing its 15"& 16" 5 Spokes. IMG_1163.JPG We alternate between Spokes and WW's, it gives it different places in time.

  27. It's gone quiet round here again...
I'll share something. I took a trip over to mount gambier today and picked up a complete interior for the XP. [IMG]
I also stopped in and saw Tony on the way home. He seemed knackered from working on the new house and also his aussie coupe day and night but the coupe's chassis is painted and complete just waiting for an exhaust. I really like the colour he has chosen to paint it, very similar to the colour I had in mind for the chev. I told him I'd have to change my colour a bit so it didn't look like I copied him lol.

  29. Cheers gaz. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. Only problem is it's a little too nice for the rest of the car. There goes the budget lol.

I haven't been on the much this last couple of months, I have been busy renovating our lounge room. It's all done, just waiting for the carpet to be laid.
So today I thought I would do a few covers.
