    Ah ha Mitch.
You say there is only one 'whodaky'.
I hear the masses saying, thank goodness for that. One is enough.
You wait until I show some of my really weird stuff. I guess my style(s), couldn't be considered mainstream!

Geoff and Tony - here is some visual instruction that you guys can place in your Standard Operating Procedure for "Chop Tops" that encompasses a few different styles!!

Those 3 chops are all very different. All very neat coupes. Who needs a favorite.
Here's a quick photoshop for Tony. Although he may have headed for the swap meet some time today.

    Hey guys,
Here is a picture of a couple of cars Tony and I were working on back in the '80s at Tony's place.
Tony's '37 coupe we had just revamped and painted. The '36 coupe was mine that we were starting. The red '35 coupe is Paul Az's and the EH is Rita's daily driver.

Thanks once again guys, for all the responses.
Tom, your not hijacking anything. Any post is welcome here. As all posts, no matter how diverse generate discussion. I really like how broad the discussion has become now.
Drewfus, Tony said you and he had talked at the reliability run and he mentioned that you would prefer to see me posting larger images. I gave it a go and it seems to be working. The bonus being that it has reduced a major time consuming step in the way I save images on my computer, well at least the images that I save from here to Photobucket for the purposes of posting on the internet.

Pity I couldn't get better shots of these 2.Not very often do you get to see a chopped Aussie 5W body alongside a US 5W

Tony, I made reference to the grille shell hanging on the wall in one of the "garage scene" pics when you chopped "Jake", well here's another pic of it a couple of years later. Those headlights on the shelf in the background also came off the same roadster.
Funnily enough after all these years the grille & headlights back hanging in a shed not far from you and those. Some things just seem to go round & round !

Thanks once again Yblock for more older images.
The shot of Tony's coupe. Down by the stables at Bendigo swap meet?
You are right about parts, going round and around.
Like the Magnesium quickchange that will go into The Last Grasp Speical, that was once in Mark Apap's '34 coupe. There is a whole bunch of other stuff here in my shed that have those soughts of stories attached to them.
So here is a couple of shots I borrowed off Tony, that I told him I would scan and post.
When I am down at Rita and Tony's your never think that the area in which they live had virtually nothing when they built. Nearly 30 years later that has changed of course.
I don't know the year of these images, but it is a long time ago. I am sure Tony when he gets back from the swap meet can tell us a bit about these shots.
Going through images recently I came across shots of when I was building my garage, nearly 20 years ago. I seldom think of the one that once stood where this once does now. The other one was smaller older and didn't have anywhere near as much neat stuff in it. But it had it's own character and boy did I do some stuff in it!

Tony showed me these shots a while back. When we were going through photos of his recently we came a cross them again, so I asked to borrow them. I asked it it would be OK to show them here, he said that would be fine.
This series of shots is when Tony picked up the roadster from Mike in early '94. With Tony on the road trip was Barry ( it was his trailer ) and I think Renee', who was athe ace photographer.
I won't go into any details, I will just let the images do the talking. But I think these are great shots that show a bit more of the history of this roadster since it has been here in Australia.

I was going to take some images of some striping I have done the last couple of days. But for some reason I didn't and opened up one of my filing cabinets that contains photos and photo albums.
On top was a pile of images a friend ( Richard ) of mine had taken at John's Rod and Custom Picnic at Pakenham one year ( don't ask me what year ). Anyhow amongst this pile were a few photos relating to a few of the cars and guys that posts on the last couple of pages relate to.

Here is Scott's coupe. Gary, I loved what you guys did to get Scott's coupe looking as it did. When next you see Scott, tell him I said hi.

I think Tony still owned the pickup at this time.

Here is a shot taken of Richard, Rod and myself.
Richard and Rod are model car builders from Perth Western Australia. They decided they were coming to the Picnic, so they hired a car and came. I think they were only away from Perth for 6 days. For anyone that has driven from Perth to Melbourne, they will know that this was some way big banzia run that Richard and Rod made. They had a great time and Richard even won a trophy for one of his models. So the trophy on the roof is for his model, not for my tired old coupe.
I reckon this people shot is neat!

    Welcome to the thread Grant.
Also thanks for filling in some of the pieces ( dates ).
Tony will be able to tell you where the tudor went. But there is another car that has links back to other cars and people mentioned in this thread.
From memory I think that tudor was brought into Australia, by Peter Green; from New Zealand.
Grant I went into your profile and I came across a thread on one of the Vultures runs. I couldn't help myself, I had to steal an image and mess with it.

PS; I know Dave will like this if he sees it.
