Well I have been making progress on my 36 3w chassis, working on the exhaust system half done. It's been really cold here and very hard to work on my projects. Glad to see you guys posting about your projects as we have to keep the last grasp special going thanks boys. When Geoff is ready to write again , we will have more progress shots and more stories . And I like to thank Geoff for setting up this forum and running it from page 1. Geoff I read all the story from page 1 to page 42 and it gave me a lot of energy to write on here, and I miss your updates man.

  2. Hey Tom, that's one hell of flathead your building there. It made me think about some spare offy heads I have and that perhaps with a bit of a polish they might just work out alright for the customline, I might even put a triple carb manifold on it as well?

That would be a great finishing compliment to an already super clean ride.

  4. Just to keep things happening on here, I thought I would post a picture of a new Max Grundy print that I just got.

sadly no GaryD, i have a heavy committment back at uni with this upcoming weekend and the next gone. it will be a very tight deadline for me to complete before nagambie but i will try. compounding matters more for the pickup i did notice a water leak in my coupes radiator that will need attention before the run meaning the front sheetmetal will come apart to fix. jeez

  8. Good luck with Uni Tommy. Let me know if you need a hand mate...

g'day kidcampbell71, What you have been reading here of late are contributions from friends in an attempt to keep this post going. i am not speaking on behalf of the builders of the Grasp, Geoff and Tony but all i am wanting to convey is thanks for your message. Please continue to support this thread and contribute with whats going on in your garage!

  12. Hey guys, I just finished watching that latest Mad Fabricators video "Kangaroo Boogaloo" featuring our very own Tony " @lowlids " Cassar, Very cool congrats man (I'll come out some time and have a yap and catch up). All of the rest of you get on it. It's an awesome vid, as always from the Mad Fab guys but I think this one (and the previous aussie one) are the best yet.

Anyway here's a model car that Charlie and I just finished building, just to keep things rolling along here.

Hope to hear from you guys soon. All the best.

    Hi FB,
I really like your model mate, did you mean to make the rear wheels come just proud of the lip of the guard? If so this is the ultimate in 60s street coupe TOUGH and you captured this perfectly with the wheel combo, motor and colour!!there just ain't enough of this type of cool hot rod style hitting our streets and reminds me of the cool hot rods I saw in New Jersey a few years back. Looks AWSOME and to share this with your little man is the most important part as Big Tony says passing the torch!

Wayne great to hear from you! I still think your 3 window is one of the most influential hot rods in Australia mate. Will you be coming to Nagamie this year?

I have a clear weekend ahead so I will get into the pickup and looking very much forward to it !

  22. Yeah @tommyflathead I'm glad you noticed that, I did spend some time trying to get the wheels to fit just how I wanted. I had to widen the diff slightly to do so. Nice pics man and I really like your new pickup, some cars just have "the look" and that one is a perfect example.

Yes FB that was the first thing that drew my attention! Well done on getting the detail right it speaks volumes for your own personal style and individual hot rod signature

Today is a very sad day for me as I lost a friend his name is Bryon Budd a true craftsman and hot rodder . He lost his battle with cancer yesterday at the age of 52. I am already missing him. R.I.P. Buddy, we never got to cruze in our roadsters mate. But when I drive my roadster you will be riding shotgun we me Bryon .
