I'll see if I can post some of mine later. Was good to see Tony and catch up with what he was up to.

Thanks for the images of the Kustom Nationals GaryD. There may be few in there I will use, if that is OK.. That silver grey '34 3W was interesting.
Yeah the Salt Flat Speed Shop tudor cover turned out real good. There are so many of the covers I like. I am still enjoying doing them and am learning new tricks all the time on how to assemble them with the simple program I am using.

  7. Hey guys, I'll hopefully be able to post up my pics of port fairy tonight. I've had visitors the last few nights and haven't had time to sort through them.

Thanks for the pics and the nice words Gary. Yes I was very honored to receive the John and Tina Memorial Award on Sunday. BTW Gary I didn't see your roadster or coupe there. Also I never saw that Salt-34 coupe but I guess it could have been cruising when I was checking out the cars.
And Simon was there only 5 cars at Port Fairy LOL Is that the ex Pring/Hodgey roadster cruising the street?

Only a sample of the photos I took. Would have been about 450 on the Sunday.

Hey Simon your photos were greatly appreciated. Another 5 would good though.
Here's my latest cover. I chopped the top and lowered the front-end. Some delicate micro-pixel surgery was done on the guy's arm, so he may appear slightly unusual in that area of his body. But he didn't complain when it was happening. I guess he was just happy that he was going to appear on the cover of Hot Rod magazine.

I have run out of hosting space over on Ryan's other forum the 'Garage Journal' for photos and have not had a chance to host the others here. I have to be honest some would not be traditional to suit the HAMB so I have not posted them here.

It was good to see Tony and hear what he has planned and I did not stay long with him as I can see he is not yet steady on his feet, but talking with him he still has an interest to keep motivated and that is a good thing.

Hey Simon, not problems re the images.
Yeah Tony still has his passion for hot rods. But at the moment his body is holding him back.

  14. Hey guys, I have made a thread with my pics from the Port Fairy show on sunday. Click >here<.

Whodaky, I finally got around to picking up that windscreen frame that you left at Tony's house and "tried it on". It fits very well. The cast end posts are almost a perfect match for the curve of my cowl, the channel frame is a bit wider and flatter than mine (possibly '28 chev would be a perfect fit as they are wider and flatter on top of the cowl) but it should be fairly easy to modify to fit perfectly. If I get time on the weekend I will have a bit more of a play and get some better pictures.

FB. I am glad the windscreen frame may work. I would never have used it on anything. I know it has gone to a good home.

I thought I would do another in memory of cover. Didn't think it needed a date!

Tony see you don't need a hoist, just need to be an innovator like Norm Grabowski.

Just finished this new cover. Tony I guess if you own the Napa Coupe you have to shop at NAPA. The bit about the aching back was actually on the Hop Up cover I based this cover around. Go figure.

So I am going through some old images Tony and came across this shot, pulling into that gas station in Peterson on that very memorable hot rod adventure.
Then pulling up across the road from Tindle motors after spotting the Orange Crate.
As you can tell, The Magazine Of The Mind's editor's imagination is working overtime as usual.

Here's a new cover I just completed. It doesn't even feature one of Tony's cars.

Here's a new cover. It could almost be the California Kid in a past life?
    I really like this one.

I'm watching Geoff, just not saying anything LOL
BTW will we see you and the 3 window at the Reliability Run on the weekend? Would be a good chance to "unveil" your 3W to the traditional hot rodding fraternity.

No Peter I won't be there. I really don't get out that much these days.
Here's another cover. I know Tony will like it because of that 3W with the Hemi in it.
