  2. Alright, here's my un-official rundown. We're burnt, blistered and broken, but, we're still alive. We had 81 or 82 cars and a decent crowd all day. Our engine blow subaru ran for over 14 minutes before it finally stopped. (On a side note: when we returned to clean up the lot this morning, I reached in and that dammed car fired off and purred like a kitten. We let it idle for about 10 minutes and then wired the throttle wide open. IT RAN FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES WITH NO WATER OR OIL!!!!! We've all decided to sell our old cars and buy old scoobies.) we did have one car that didn't fit the rules of the show and he quickly got the hint and high-tailed it out of dodge. It was a full tilt show car with injected lsx motor, billet everything, giant budnick wheels and a sandwich board. While i was parking him, he stated "I want to park on the end so that no ones door will hit my car", almost implying that everybody else were savages and didn't know how to act at a car show. I parked him on the end, like he wanted, and Jeff promptly parked the shaved ice truck almost on top of him. Jeff said it was great to watch him squirm. He left about 20 minutes later. All of the bands were great. Psychocharger was awesome, playing Friday and Saturday when only booked for Friday. Saturday was the "Puritan punishment show". That consisted of The band dousing them selves in 50 WT oil and opening feather pillows onto themselves. I'm still picking feathers out of my clothes and shoes. It was great to see Meyers, Voodoo Jim and flat-top Bob. I must have missed stray Kat and I'm sorry if I missed and more of my friends or didn't get to talk to some of you. It was a really good show and we are already prepping for the 5th twist off. Hope to see you there.

    Hey Jason,

Sorry wasn't able to make it (again) this year. I have a daughter that is in to Volley
ball and the next three weekends I'll be at tournaments. Have two more years to
enjoy it then I'll be able to go to car shows in August again. This will be the first
year that I'll miss the HAMB Drags, I hate that but it is important that I gotta do the
    Daddy thing....

Kool to see that ya had a great turnout.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Thanks for all the pics Jason.
And to the Ratty Bastard Jason, can't wait till next year maybe I will finally have something to contribute.

  6. Like JK said we are burnt. Near 100 degree temps all weekend but we torture our selves for you guys. Thank you Jason for all the great pics. Thanks to all of you that came out. Can't wait to get started on next years event at a new location. In truth we pushed the limits of the Rt 66 bowl as a venue but it will truly be missed. As an icon and as a prize hangout for all.

The bands were great. Much respect for anyone with that kind of talent and will drive for hours to play in the heat just for our sorry asses. Thank you Pyschocharger, Convoi! And the Rock Bottom Ramblers. You guys rock as always

  11. Hey I had a GREAT time! Hottest day of the year! Slipped back inside the bowling alley to wet down from time to time and headed back outside. Even won a great trophy for our roadster from the Rejects Club! THANKS GUYS! Limped back home after dark just to see how the headlights worked - 70 MPH down I-35 and they didn't go out once!

Just one question. Who was that tall slender brunette with a red stretch top and painted on jeans? Had an Audrey Hepburn goes rockabilly look! Wanted to get a pic of her in the roadster but she must have ran off..
    Lets do this again...
