I'm sorry that I have no clue what you just said.

  2. I agree, I have reread the post by HOTTRODZZ several times and I still can't figure what he is talking about.

I can sorta see what he was trying to do with the car. I dont really like the car. I may not like his designs but he has ton of talent.

By the way the first model I ever built was the aluma coupe some snap together peice of junk.

  4. He's saying that if you are going to spend that kind of money for a car (well into six figures), it should perform as well as it looks, like a street legal race car.

He goes on to say that if you do not build a car that will perform that well, you are just decorating a car to look fast.

... I'm the one who was educated in Florida.

  5. Ehh, nice enough lookin car but it's don't do a whole lot for me. Now I'm sure that these guys have lots of talent, but they seem as nothing more than glorified model kit builders. Uncrate this, uncrate that, take this new out of the box, etc... They probably waste a lot of stuff that is fixable, repairable or would fit the traditional mold a bit better. New parts have their proper place, but the whole car???

    Brrrrrrrrrt!!!

I can appreciate the car and work that went in to it. And I like it. But it's not for this crowd. It is a "modern custom" and the HAMB to me is about traditional customs. That is why I came here. Because I am not into putting billet all over my truck. Hell my truck is not even a "Hot Rod" but it's all I got right now and I consider it a "Shop Truck"

I also like Japanese cars because let's face it, I would have loved to live in the late 50's , but I don't. I live now and I work 30 miles from home and need a good commuter car. I need a car that gets 35+ mpg so I can save money for working on my projects. And because I like fixing up cars I have it lowered and have an exhaust system on there. Not the shitty kind such as he welded on fart pipe. I DO NOT believe and bodykits, wild paint jobs, or all that other "ricer" crap.

To me there is a difference. The black car is "clean" fast and well engineered. The other booger gold car is "riced out" And will fly apart at top speed. To most of you they are both shit.

Now the second set of pic is the same difference, IMO, for hot rods. The blue 32 is what I call "Clean" traditional Hot Rot. The bright green 32 is more "street rod" I guess. Not my cup of tea. I like but it's not how I would build mine. If I got a hold of that car I would work as fast as i could to make it look like the blue one.

I own a Civic, it's my daily driver. Again I can appreciate the mechanics of a car and the ability to get 200hp plus out of a N/A 4 clinder engine.(like the pics of the car attached - not my car) My personal car how ever is affectionalty known as the "Golf Cart"

If you go to my site and look at some of my photoshops you see those types of cars. That doesn't mean prefer them, I just design them. I got to make a living.

I keep a open mind but my heart will always belong to Hot Rods. That is all, I'll shut up now.
