You ever see that commercial where this guy goes back in time to prevent his younger self from making a mistake? I wish I could go back and say "Don't sell the Nomad" and give my younger self a good kick in the nuts .
I am so happy for Lee and his crew for getting the car there....cannot wait to see it and grab some photos. History in the making and hope to see it on the cover of The Rodders Journal.
WOW! The wheel well treatment on this car is perfect. Always had an issue with the round rear wheel wells on the 55 nomad. I absolutely love this wagon. All of his builds just ooze style. Great, great wagon. BTW, is he hoarding all the Skylark wires?!
So very cool! He would never have fully loved the clone....all the extra work is way worth it in the end....
Lacquer and a siphon feed gun painting where you built it.This I enjoy seeing.I Love using my new guns and modern paint but the thoughts of smelling the lacquer fumes ....cool.
I am completely mesmorized by this car and it's story in the latest TRJ. Thanks for all the behind the scenes pictures. Added another dimension to the story in the mag. Fond memories of going with my older brother (MrTomatoHead) to look at a killer jet black '56 Nomad, for sale back in the 70's Cleveland. Fairly sure the asking price was $1500. But that was allot of dough back then. He would have been only like 25 yrs old. Car turned up years later and was bought by my best friennd's uncle. Then he sold it. No idea were it is now. JT
