Ok consider me a newbie, esspecially with the older cars.

What I have here is a 29 model a briggs all stock. Motor hasnt run in a long time.

Turns over freely good compression, cleaned it all up and changed the oil. Installed new plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, modern style points, and a new coil with the internal ballast resistor. New wiring as well running on 12 volts. I pulled apart the carb and sand blasted the housing and cleaned all internal parts.

Now She turns over great and I have an excellent spark on all 4 cylinders yet the motor still doesn't seem to want to fire. I suspect something with the carb as the motor never even fires once and it appears the carb leaks a bit of fuel.

Maybe too much fuel? Doesn't seem like too much to go wrong with the Zenith 1 carb but again I'm new to it so is there something I could be missing?

    Any tips would be great

    Cheers
    Mike

  2. Check for vacuum leak, timing off, bad fuel mixture .
