I just wanted to take a moment and say a slightly belated CONGRATULATIONS to my my buddy Craig Smith (aka The Liberace on the hamb) for ROD & CUSTOM's coverage of his car in this monthes issue. That was one hell of a wait, wasn't it ! Just as important to me, THANK YOU for giving me (Chip Quinn) some credit as well. After thirty years of doing this stuff, it's nice to see my name in print!

  2. Was over at Craig's couple of days ago to buy an engine from him. Saw it in person, the R&C coverage is great but you cant really appreciate the car til you see it in person!! Attention to detail is fantastic. Glad to see another HAMBr get a little ink. Dave

I have on good authority that there will be a detail shot of his car in the upcoming Church issue as well.

  7. That thing is SWEET! I sat for 2 1/2 hours drooling over those shots. I don't normally do purple, but any other color wouldn't have fit that car.

  8. You should see the get up he wears when he is driving it. Congrats on the coverage.

Wrong one. That Craig Smith was one of the news chopper pilots that went down in Phoenix a while back.

No I dont own this duece, but it will allways be in my thoughts. The fellow that owned this car was a chopper pilot for the local news and was in a fatal crash a few years ago. The shock of having the same name, a 32, and the same kind of dog really makes ya stop and think. I never met the man but the guy that did my interior [Glenn Kramer] did his chopper and told many cool stories of him.

  20. Thats great, saw the R/C today, loved the car. I know we all build cars for our own enjoyment, but it's nice sometimes when someone, especially a car mag says, "good job".. congrats to you...

Thats not true! I see your name in print every week! What about that "BUSTED" publication that shows all the mug shots. The ones at 7-11s. You were on the cover, are'nt you the "MAD SVEED"? Heck, I hear people even dress up like you for Halloween!

Congratulations, it's too classy a car to roam the roach infested pollo joints around town.

    Es muy fabuloso!
