Alright guys,.... I was over to a old friends place yesterday, I had gone to see Dave with the express purpose of seeing a 1939 Ford Custom he had recently acquired, The first thing I had see was some still pictures ( I hope to add those pictures soon)... Well at first glance you can see that somebody had been inspired by The 39 Convertible that Harry Westerguard built for Mel Falconer in 1945... In the pictures the car looks to be pretty rough with armature work,.. however with closer inspection you can see that what was originally done on the car wasn't bad work at all. In fact it was really decent work on what started out on a really solid car. However some of the other work seems like it may have been done by another individual... I'll try to add additional details of what was relayed to me later, Suffice to say this car had a long history of being stored outdoors,.. The customized dashboard seems to have been modified for a gauge cluster with 3/16" plate... Another thing is it looks to have been fitted with a small block Chevrolet engine with 1955-57 front engine mounts... Anyway, Dave is trying to find out any accurate information on this old custom, Apparently it came from Frankfort Kentucky several years ago and went to Michigan's Upper Peninsula,... And that's where Dave found it. Below is a You Tube link to Dave telling the story of what he knows as he understands it... But who knows??.... Anyway I'm reaching out to the power of the HAMB brotherhood... Lets see if we can help Dave out.... Thanks guys !
This link is available for some more info. Dave sent it to my buddy, who sent it to me. https://kustomrama.com/wiki/David_Engemann's_1939_Ford_Convertible_-_The_Dream_Catcher

I'm actually a little surprised nobody has seen or remembers this car,... Good, bad or otherwise,... It is pretty distinctive and memorable... Somebody must know something about it... Anyone ?
