Pete Lovely was a well known road racer and very accomplished one at that but let’s rewind to 49.. Pete started his racing career in oval track racing in Seattle at Aurora Speedway. He took home some brass and cash and was well known as spinout Pete almost always facing the wrong direction at any given moment on the track, Pete unfortunately wrecked his Lovely T and the model A frame rails were scrapped and the car was tailor made with an aluminum chassis. This may be the only track t from the 40s with an aluminum chassis. Now fast forward to 2024 and I get to be the new caretaker of this state of the art track t.

That looks to be an extremely well engineered dirt track racer with some really impressive workmanship for the era, for any era really. Looks like the guy raced an early Lotus based on that book cover too. Very cool car with documented history, I hope it can be preserved as it was (or put back to how it was, depending on it's current condition), that's a pretty special piece.
