My smart phone changed my words when I sent it. The phone added the Capitol S. I am a good speller. English was one of my better subjects. I have come to ignore these obvious spelling mistakes that happen all of the time to text. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass or a know it all and correct you. I just knew the answer to what seemed like you were unsure of as I have two sets of these wheels and know what they are called. I was just trying to get the correct name out there for others wanting to know.
@DDDenny and @Kan Kustom thank you both. But now you probably can see why I've been confused on the name, which seems like is "Champ".
Good gawd I love this Malibu Boo! I owned three different ones through the mid 70's, a 65 factory 327/4speed ElCamino, 65 Malibu two door hardtop drag car and a 64 Chevelle 300 two door wagon.
I'm decently sure these are mag rims, gotta say, this cars pretty close to the top of the "wanna ride in it at least once" list.
Nick Smith and I doing battle (he always wins). He chose the tried and true slots while I went with traditional Americans.....
@guffey Been waiting to see this one. Now u just need the Melrose car to have had the four hemi 2% cars correct?
Saw this T-bird in Hot Rod magazine while I was at the barber shop. Neat look and neat car. The wheels certainly take it there.
I might have a couple of the oldest -- maybe Halibrand 18" 1948 Indy car, I don't know. It looks like they fit a number of other cars before I got them . . . I had a problem about 30 miles north of Vegas. Had two pieces missing, found them, took a while to find someone to weld them back in.
I like the American torque thrust and all their variants. I pulled these off a 55 Vette 20 plus years ago where they had lived since 1965.
