If you bump around on facebook this page is worth a look. They have a huge stash of old photos and slides they are putting out there. Here are a few I pulled from today. They have an impressive collection of Mopar memorabilia, signage, etc dating from Maxwell right up throught the 60's. They also have some of the most beautiful forward look restorations you will ever see, coupled with Herb's drag cars. It is just off Interstate 40/85 in Burlington, NC. Michael McCandless has done a phenomenal job of collecting Mopar history and assembling it into a museum. Check it out! You might get to meet Herb, really gracious gentleman.

I don't see a link in the original post, but I'm pretty certain that's not from the same collection Rockable is referring to... Since McCandless in NC is entirely Mopar, and none of the pics above are MoPar.

When the street rodder road tour used to do shop tours before the back to the fifties event, My place was on their list of stops for about 5 years. 80 people usually and they came in 2 shifts and spent a few hours here. I did not even realize until I got the nicest thank you letter weeks later that Mr 4 speed Herb McCandless was one of the guys here for the tour. He sent along a business card, so I called him. What a nice guy

    Ok, I found a link: https://www.facebook.com/McCandlessAntiqueAuto

Looks like Mike McCandless picked up a large collection of negatives from the 1960's and they're digitizing and posting online. Everything from dragsters to engine to customs. Very cool!

Those are from Facebook. Michael's nephews are drag racing and those could be pics of cars at a drag race. Check the link I posted for info on the museum.
