Hat off for the result,that car has been a long way and is lookin KILLER..i really like the roofline...too bad you could'nt keep it,at list for a while...
But anyway,fantastic lookin car....

Holy shit, I didn't expect so many kind words...

The car really drained me during the final stages, but in the end, I think we came to an understanding with each other. She really truely has a better home now than I could ever give her, where she will get all the love and attention she needs.

i dont know your reasons why you sold it,but i can understand having to sell them,

abone, you are truly a first rate craftsman and inspiration to many but just a couple of things that need to be clarified , first of all you take a car that resembles swiss cheese, and transform it into one of the nicest mercs on the planet, and second, you say the car came out "ok", and third you don't even keep her long enough to enjoy you labor of love! i have just one question for you, are you outta your fuckin' mind????!!!!

 

I was about to recommend Abone's Merc for the Sacramento Show today but knew the car would be at its new home soon and wasn't really believing they would bring it over to the West Coast.Would be really cool to see it there though !

Congratulations on building a phenominally beautiful Merc!!

 

I've looked at and taken pictures of a LOT of Mercs over the past 10 - 15 years (didn't see too many around for the 20 or so years prior to that). There have been a lot of nice ones but, many of them aren't quite right. They may lack a few details here and there or they may have gone too far with the accessories or modifications.

This one however, is right on the money. Great proportions, great stance, good attention to the right details. This is one of the top ten Mercs I have ever seen. The fact that you built it out of a pile of rust that I wouldn't have used for patch panels makes it even more amazing.
