I have been on this heap for a year and three months..mostly work that is no fun to do or post about. But the madien voyage is pretty hard to beat.

I have shown this pic before, but here it is again. This is when I drug her home.

She got new sheetmetal from the firewall to the trunk.

    And new suspension.

The whole bottom 1/4 of the car was mostly gone, so it got new sheetmetal.

And the front end was pretty nasty
    [IMG]

    Here is the after.

    And here is today.

    Here little motor.

Around the block for the very first time since 1967.

    'Nuther.

Next is the chop then an *** LOAD of body and paint.

    See ya, -Abone.

Looks like you're rolling right along! Hard to believe that's the same car that was in the bushes. One of the BEST "before" pic's i've ever seen. I'd keep a pic in my wallet just so I could show people how far it has come frome the dead,LOL!
Reminds me of when you go to the swapmeet and see a POS on a trailer and think "what a ****...nobody's gonna buy that thing!". You're proving everybody wrong dude!!!

You need to PM me and tell me how to use new gauges with the originals bezels. I found some silver gauges that would look great behind the stock bezels.

The level of talent on this board never ceases to amaze me.

Most would have left it for dead, but that would imply that the car wasn't dead before you got to it. It was, and you resurrected it. Even more impressive

This build should be a testimony to the purists that say he cut up a good car! Amazing work, you should be proud. And where is that young guy's safety gl***es??

That is incredible! Post a picture of it with the blower motor and no skirts! :D

I know it's the next plan, but I'm not sure I'd chop it - it looks great as is. You're doing a great job on that '51, keep up the progress.

shows how easy the cutomizers of the '50s had it. they didn't have to restore them first before they could customize them. very impresive!

Good Job FLAME. YOU ARE ONE HYPER DUDE for that time frame. The neighbor said "There goes the Neighborhood and put his house up for sale.".

  23. I've been following this one too...very inspiring. You should change your name to the Re-Animator. Nice work.
