Projects The Most Vintage Tin I've Ever Seen!! - Salvage Yard Tour - Tons of Pics!

We (Jay, Jeff, Kerry, and I) spent a few hours walking through this yard last Saturday. We were all blown away by how much pre-war tin was in this place! Unbelieveable!

I did a search, and a few photos of it have been posted on here before, along with other mentions of the yard.... So, it shouldn't take too long for someone to recognize it and post the name

Yes, everything is for sale. We only asked the prices of a couple things. One of them was way over-priced and the other item ('40 Ford 16" wheel) was $40. I'd consider that fairly reasonable - near 'market value'.

Did you happen to find the license plate barn and schoolbus full...???

I'm not gonna post the name...that was one of the best kept secrets around for years...and there's only about half the stuff there that used to be less than five years ago...

AND, just becuz you think it's overpriced, does not mean those on the west coast or east coast (the rust belt of America) will think that.

I admittedly don't know alot about flatheads, but there was a later Merc flatty with all the front accessories, both heads were visibly cracked, and who knows what the inside of the engine looked like. It may not have even had the Merc crank in it. $550.

 

That is one of the best yards I have seen. I would love that roadster body!!

I debated on even posting all these photos, but the fact that there is so much still there, and the pricing, I figured 'why not'!
Plus, if it helps someone find parts they need for their project, I think that's cool.

It's like heaven threw up!

 

Its been a long time since I've such a collection of early vintage tin (30's-40's).
Such a shame to see it go to waste; hopefully, some of it will be "rescued".....
