Getting a little more done on the body. Weld grind and repeat.

OK...now what? I'm thinking suicide doors. I've never built a body before and This is going to take me some time . Gotta build door jams , hinges and latches as well as making a frame for the door skins.

  7. Interesting. I'll wait till it's done before p***ing judgment. lol Keep going it looks like fun.

I like the budget build, but Im REALLY not sold on that bed. The style doesnt match the lines of the rest of it. I think you could actually build a bed from sheet metal that would fit the lines better.

3000 is a tough budget even if it was a running, driving frame. Good luck keeping it under

I know I'll keep getting **** for the bed. But I like it and it fits the body proportions nicely as well as being more useful then a model a bed. Furthermore this build is not called "how to build a period correct museum peice". I'm just trying to display to some folks that you can build a traditional styled hot rod for cheap. And its more out of necessity then anything. I'm a broke *** with with a very small budget for this car:D The bed was free. Sheet metal and paying somebody with a sheet metal brake and a bead roller etc is not free . Neither is buying an early bed.

I like it, I'll be following this one. Had my hands on a similar A ch***is that I ended up selling, then another one slipped by me, but I'd like to do something similar.

I don't dislike the bed. Cut down to size, I think it can work. Plus the price was right, and that's already a tight budget. Once it's all painted to match, I think it could look just right.

    Looking forward to more updates.

  20. Don't sweat the bed talk, if you deside you don't like it you can allways replace it later

My roadster pickup bed was made from a 1940s Kelvinator refrigerator. Still has the paint lines from the coils inside to prove it. The total cost of my A was just under $1,000.

I'm digging it and don't sweat the bed, you've got a good eye and fab skills. This will all blend together in the end and look right. Love it and can't wait to see more!!!

  26. Not my style, but looks like your doing a hell of a good job, it's turning out better than I expected it would.

I don't know but it looks a HELL of a lot better than the '54-'80 Chevy bed. It was just too flat square, especially the bed side tops being flat. I'm no Model A guy but this truck is gonna look great, and for damn cheap apparently. Good on you!
