make it safe & drive the piss out of it!but as stated earlier gotta paint the hood.& the rallies work for me on early chevy's,i also like the grey/black American type wheels,

 

x2 for 6.70 www and steelies with some sort of cool cap.

Then lower it all around and procede to drive the piss out of it.

Yea, paint the hood , check it over good and drive it! My next project will be 4 door 55' for a family hot rod. Wish I was going to Springfield...

I'm Ok with the wheels. Not my first choice but they look good on that car to me.

If you shoot the hood with gloss black Rustoleum out of a quart can with a gun it matches up well with that old original black.

I say... Do the mechanicals, paint the hood, detail it up and ride it it low buck for awhile.

this is what I would do with it...

 

At the first swap meet get a set of the flat caps that fit ralley wheels, and a set of 4" bullets. Install the bullets on the caps. Look close at my wheels.
