I've been visiting here for awhile, and thought it was time I signed up. I've been messin' with this old stuff since I was 14 years old. I mowed lawns and shoveled poo for 2 months to come up with $25 to buy a Model A 2dr. That was 48 years ago.

Played with A's 'til I got out of the Navy in '69 then started building T buckets. The first one was almost a copy of the one from '64 - '65 Car Craft series. Since that one, there has been 6 of mine and have been involved in several of other peoples T projects.

Current projects are; a '33 Chevy 2 ton being converted into a pick upfor a friend, a '29 2d sedan turned into a rdst pick up, a scratch built circa '33 dirt race car and this winters project is a '27 modified.

Johnny fast...I;m in Owatonna. I see you're looking for the yoke for a '42 to '47 banjo too. I just bought a '42 rear end for my '27. Do you know if the yoke for those years are the only ones we can use? I'm wondering if there isn't another one that will work.

ZZ IRON....Sorry to say, I won't be able to make the bash this year, but looking forward to #6.

Welcome to the HAMB from a fellow Minnesotan. Neat looking project.

  6. Yep......BITCHIN' car !!! :)

The yoke is special to that open-drive rearend. It has a tapered/keyed bore much like the early Ford axle/drum design. Torque-tube rears have a spline/coupler connection from the pinion to the enclosed driveshaft.

Johnny fast...I went to www.Obsolete Ford Parts.com, they changed thier name to Obsolete & Classic Parts. Anyway, the yoke is list as part #01Y 4841 and it lists for $79.95.

  8. Nope....that ain't it. That one is a slip-yoke type. The '42 - '47 pickup is bolted solid to the pinion.....no inner spline.
