Clear rules are worthwhile, and certainly necessary. But let's not forget that fucking around, mixing it up, and letting it hang out are what built the traditional rodding we love.

It's frankly a little disturbing to see so many people here get excited about what basically amounts to a long section of fine print.

Not very "hot rod" in my mind.

Hi Ryan. I'm a traditional hot rodder as you know from the photo I sent to you. I dont have a digital camera yet so I haven't posted it. I'm wondering about the new rules. Your number one, five star post, that you yourself say is so cool, is an auction for skateboard stuff. Where I come from skateboards are for little boys. About as uncool as it gets. Do we have a case of "Do as I say and not as I do"?
    I'm confused.

read this from cabs intro, i think it will answer your question

    "
Cab, thanks so much for taking the plunge and signing up. Really cool... I think you are going to dig this place - lots of smart folks that are willing to share and teach. And you already know how honored I am to even have ya looking at our threads. Whether you know it or not, you have inspired a lot of people's hot rods for a real long time...

***Hey fellas, remember when I was telling yall that skating was on topic? Told you so.

  18. I guess some people are just gonna LOOK for a reason to gripe. Is Cab helping to raise money for the HAMB? Then what is the problem?

Oh...and little girls like to skateboard as well. [IMG]

Now the Full Moon Ding Dongs can't say they weren't warned.

  27. this POST not the thread, should stay at the top. Helps the lurkers and new members that, just jump on the HAMB and don't read the "injection" or read enough threads, to realize what the HAMB is.

  28. Glad I caught this post. I haven't been on line for a couple of days. I printed it and its hanging on my wall. Just so I can try and stay on track.
    Good idea Thanks Ryan,

Hey Zman. I checked out your gringoscateboard link. I find the "Team Photos" very interesting. Heath Cheryhomes fits my mental image of a skateboarder to a the nth degree. Reminds me of my grandson when he makes a funny face. I rest my case.

When I was in the Navy, skating meant you were somehow smart enough to get out of work and get away with it. Those gringo guys look like Cat IV's. Ask your local recruiter what that means.
