I figured its a good time to post it Its just another 30 ford model A,Its come along way and still has a way to go.Try to work on it as much as possible. Its hard still being in school,High School, but I do what I can with what I got. I think its going to be a 60s rod. Still need a good name for it. Just cant wait till its done hoping for june or july. I did all the work myself. just one sad coupe After a little a patch work(only the bottom 6 inches) new taillights(I had to be differnt) Put a 53 ford dash in it,no more gas tank Why not chop it four inches while Im at it Little more recent, notice the new driprail was hand built another more recent picture,I need to take more picture more often. Since those last picture Ive boxed the frame, made motor mounts, finished the floor, worked on the roof, and so much more. P.S. looking for a good trunk lid for this project THANKS
The Noland Coupe it is. Your progress looks good, stay with it. I like the part about 'doing it all myself.' That's my mantra.
yeah,I like doing It myself you know what you got.I had to send the heads to the machine shop for guides and seat he said a month, four months ago,STILL WAITING Thats the main reason I do stuff myself.
I used to think of my A's as just another one, but once you drive them a bit you realize they are alot of peoples dream car, a true hot rod. Keep up the good work on the Noland Special and keep posting progress.
Like the name "the Nolan coupe" - really like your mindset about doing the work yourself. But most of all I like the work you've done, you're off to a great start and I for one really want to see this thing as it progresses.
Thanks guys, Really Harris I like "the Nolan Coupe" But Noland is my last name not Nolan so I named it my last name,my first name is Ken.
I did some searching and found a few more pictures The engine like it sits, its a 390 cadillac with a crower roller cam and adj. rockers once was a weekend drag engine in a corvette, soon should have a 6x2 ufab intake with (6) functional 94s Modification for the roller cam The modified rear crossmember to make it sit a little lower,Ill Z the frame on the next one

Floors finished, the trap doors for the master cylinder. couple shots of the soon to be intake with (6) 94s and just alittle lead work over the wheel opening to finish it off(still needs sanded SORRY FOR THE CRAPPY PICTUES
Ken.........Great work so far. What are the new taillights, and what were the six original ones?...............Woody
Thanks Everyone,Im not the average teenager, that kind of obvious though I own a 30 ford not a honda or acura.Your gonna love this one the taillights are ahhh. . . . 57 vw,the original six were cheapos from like JC Whitneys
A lot cooler than what I had in highschool. Johnnycola here on the H.A.M.B. has a coupe with a 390 Cad and 6x2 setup. He's only a few years older than you. Nice to see you young fellas on the right path. Check post #7 below for the linkage he built. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2395385#post2395385
Thanks richard d,I actually started that thread But thanks for the needed info,My father just told me that I need $500 for most of the brake parts I ordered.Dont ever let anybody say it cheap and easy to build a Hot Rod but the end result should well be worth it. THANKS EVERYBODY FOR THE INSPIRATION!
