I added some factory chrome bumpers front and back and some early cab sails. Check out the before and after.

I'm going back to get a '60 chrome chevy grill the bumper guy has. Now I can paint the color I want without having to worry about painting the bumpers and grill and looking like a street rod or a clown car.

Satin purple or copper or blue with the roof flaked to match.

Please don't do blue with a matching flake roof. I've already bought the stuff to do mine and I don't want people to think I copied you. Haha. Truck looks good, man. The chrome really sets it off.

Lol, that is probably my first choice. I've got a little ways to go before I'm ready for paint though. Still got to patch above the windshield (just got the patch panel), swap out windshield (just got a good one), fix the pasenger door bottom (just got the patch panel), swap out the driver door for a good one (at the local parts place for $100), and swap out the front fenders for good ones (coming from a buddy). By the time I actually start painting, it'll likely be more like I'm copying you.:D

But I still haven't decided for sure. Every time I see another car or truck on here, I think how good my truck would look in that color. Choosing a color is THE hardest part of this project.

Isn't that the truth! I've battled several ideas for my '62, but I found a cool metalflake blue steering wheel, so..... there ya go. Haha. Tell ya what. I'll go with the other idea that I had. I'm thinking GM Polar White with the blue flaked roof and then blue pearl in the clear over the whole thing. Now we won't look like we're going steady. :D

That's too funny. Polar white was another color I was kicking around, but with a green flaked roof. Great minds and all that, etc..:D

    Turd that looks real good..

I've toyed with the idea of changing the hood on mine to the older style and going with a chrome GMC grill or The chrome 4 headlight grill like yours..

Then again I might just leave mine alone.. I change my mind alot :D

I actually like the GMC grill shape better, but shiny is even better so I'm running the '60 chevy grill for now. My GMC grill is up for sale on the Parts For Sale forum here.

And as far as switching hoods, you should've heard the haters when I first did it, lol. I like the older hood better, but most others don't agree.

Thanks. Big back window style wins over small back window function every time as far as I'm concerned, lol.

Saw this stunning example at Goodguys Puyallup today. The photo does not do it justice.

No, my '55 was parked here, next to my buddy's t-shirt concession:

Here's another pickup I shot at GG Puyallup on Saturday:

There was also a Suburban of this same vintage and same HAMB-friendly styling but I spazzed and didn't get a shot of it. It was tail-low and looking good and had some striping done inside on Saturday. That hole in the lower fender is just screaming to be made into an exhaust cut-out, am I right??? :D

I gots anudder one! Passing on the '63 to Deadbird.

Here's the new daily...it's a '65. 350/350 under the hood. My dads old truck, he bought a brand spankin' new truck so I commandeered this one. Thanks dad!! And put on some different rolling stock. A handful of little changes are in order, but nothing major. Could really use a coat of paint, haha...

That looks like a really nice start. The '63 grill is nice. You don't see them that nice and not painted too often. What are the little changes you've got in store?

Right. And no bumper bolts on the edges, no taligate chains, and the exhaust cutout in front of the rear tires. And speaking of the exhaust, I've always wanted to see a rectangular cutout in the same spot with a rectangular exhaust pipe, a la older nascar type exhaust. I've never had the guts to cut my good bed up though. Since his already is....:D
