Here's a couple shots of my 64 Panel, it used to be a prison ambulance. 383 Stroker, GmC hood, Smoothed and tucked bumpers, shaved handles, INJECTED Flame THROWERS.....

Well you got the bug now, mine started like that. I bet a lot of other guys on here did too. Then, you are lookin for a little more then more until you got a full air ride system on it and start thinking about modifying the frame to get it EVEN lower.

Nice truck man, hope the lowering "bug" doesn't get the best of you!

Thanks Mailbob, its funny I was just checkin out your truck on here the other day as i was looking for some pics of lowered step sides and I was thinking how good yours looked sittin that low. I put the 3/5 springs on it from cpp and ill probably go with a 2" drop spindle when i get the money together to change over to disc brakes.

Love the pipes! If the modern stuff wasn't in there that photo could be from 1967.

    Woo hoo! :D

Someone finally made a clear 'pop in replacement' dome light lens for our trucks.

It is in the new 1960-1966 chevy/gmc LMC truck catalog.

    Dome Light Lens - Clear : 36-4205

here is the page in the catalog on the LMC site

I just thought I'd share that tidbit.

I've been hoping someone would come out with one of these for awhile now. If you ever pop the cover off the dome light at night... you'll be amazed at how much more light there is than with the opaque original cover on.

If this works as advertised, it will be a good thing, I think.

    Take care folks,

    -W

p.s. I'm just sharing some info., because I'm stoked about this very simple thing. I don't work for these people or anything like that.

  20. Its not likely but that could actually be a 63? When I went to get parts for my 63 way back in the 60,s the parts guy asked me if it was a flat faced cowl? Seems that a very few of the last 63,s had the same cab as the 64 thru 66 models.

I love this thread and just had to comment that my first truck was a '66 Chevy C-10 long bed that my dad gave me. Had to replace the I6 with another one (I was 14). I blew that engine up before I turned 16. Drove it around our place and up and down the county roads. Let it set for a few years and then dropped a 307 V8 in it. Then, I had to come up with some money for college, so I sold it. Couple years ago, I found a '65 long bed at a farm auction. 78,000 original miles and had been parked after the man's son died. After a year of collecting parts, we moved and my wife convinced me to sell it to my brother and he still has it sitting... sigh.... I miss those trucks and this thread brings it all back..... LOL... I love all of the trucks in the many versions that are posted on here. Keep it up guys!!!
