What type of Flathaead, 8BA or 59A? Can he use a 46-48 Ford steering wheel (Complete)? I have some peep mirrors, Also caps for the KH wheels. I just don't want to send stuff he may have or someday is sending out. Please let me know? Thanks

I have an aluminum air tank off of a semi truck that would be quite the bitchin' gas tank. But, its not internally baffled I'm sure, but I'm thinking it should hold at least 10 gallons of gas. I'll donate it to the cause if someone thinks it would work and not look stupid.

  6. I can donate some miscellaneous powdercoating services, my oven is 6' tall by 3' square, so if it can be baked and fits, I'll do it for him.
intakes, heads, trim pieces, Anybody wanna hammer out a "HAMB assembled" plaque to be powdercoated that can be mounted on the firewall, etc etc. miscellaneous things that wont break the bank to ship back and forth I can help with if needed at all.

I have a bench seat out of an old school bus if he wants it. It even has gum under it. Let me know what I need to bring to the drags (see my post earlier in the thread).

Guess I`ll jump in here, been following this since it started, Amazed at how this has all come about.I have been staying quit and sitting back and watching in amazement.Well where I live on the rock and part owner of a local Resto shop it is only right to help out with such a good cause. The build can take place at our shop and any tools needed to do the build are there,What we don`t have we will find.Chris has been by the shop and telling us on how this has changed Andy`s out look on life. Just knowing this is enough to know that you have to help out.I have a number of old parts lying around. A frame(with cross members),a complete front end as well as a complete rear axles, along with wheels from a 39 Ford,If anything of this is any good to the build it can be used. Also I have found a roof from a early 60`s Dodge wagon that can be used in this build. We are working on a team of builder here on the rock to help out with the build.I see Hackerbill has jump on board. Bill it will be fun working with you on such a build. Leon you going to have to bring your own tools cause you too dam hard on my stuff,Leon and tools don`t mix.I say you keep us in Tims, Ya that`s it!! you be the gopher... Just to show where this build will take place here is a link to our shop.

I need someone to recieve the 32 steel dash at the HAMB drags. The idea is for HAMB'ers to sign it then it gets cleared and installled. Also need someone to cut in the 40 Mercury guage panel too. Anybody interested in being responsible for the dash? PM or post here.

Ya know Fitzee...THIS is what its about.

Your all a good bunch to do this for Andy and I can't think of a better reason for me to come down from the mountain and help out.
It'll be fun to get a chance to work with you and get to meet some of the other guys as well.

Just give a time to show up, something I can work on and a corner to work in...;) :D

If that dash comes through Tulsa, someone give me a holler, wouldja? I'm going to try to make the drags, but really can't afford it right now. I'll make the trip up there if nothing else than to sign that dash! This entire process here has been awesome, and I'm thrilled to be associated with any and all of you guys! The HAMB rocks!

  20. I must have been under a rock, cause I missed this whole thread.

Where is the build going down,I think it maybe Canada.? I'd love to help... Chop ,channel, frame set up, lettering, sit in a corner and make brakets for for three days, whatever. I'm not sure how I could do yet...but I'm so down for stuff like this. The planet needs to do more cool stuff like this. Please....keep us posted.

This was a hard thread to look through looking for info. Your the man Andy!

When? More about the builder and whats gonna go down, etc.???

The build date will be announced when we get the body and parts here. I can guess it will be after HAMBDRAGS because there will be parts come from there.

It will be in St.John's, Newfoundland. At Island Rod &Kustom (fitzees shop). It will be documented on video and i hope to send everyone who helped bring a smile to Andys face a copy of our scramble to get Andys ride ready.

The body will get a 4-5 chop, channeled 4 inches and be open wheel on w/whites. Running andys flattie with the goodies from the wonderful people here. It will ride on KH wires and be andys fav color...or lack of color...lol FLAT BLACK. This is all the information andy has given me.

The builder................well lets just say, we are gonna put a crew of locals to the test............lol HAMB BUILT by the real deal........the members here.

  22. You guys rule, I wish I had some early Ford stuff to help out on this. I will be following this and when I get back from the UK in a couple of weeks will see what I can do to help, be it with money or in some other way. Andy, your a hotrodder so hang in there buddy we ALL want to see you roasting the tires on that car. If Andy does come out to Stanford California I will do anything I can to help him and his family out while they are here. Again what a great community this is!

Leon I sent the carb kits to Hot_Rod_Artist. Can I send the wiring harness and the tail lamp lenses to Fritzee at Island Rod and Custom?

Just looked this over again and a couple things I don't see that Andy's car needs or would look nice with.

    1. Full Rebuild Kit for the Flatty (and someone to rebuild it)
    2. Cam for the flatty (gotta have some lope or it ain't a hotrod!)
3 Aluminum Offy or Edelbrock heads (to go with the intake)

So come on someone kick this stuff in! I would if I had it!:D

The dash idea is great, maybe it can be relayed across the state to other hambers and that way people not able to make it to the Hamb drags can sign it to.I can clear it when it gets to us.
