Cherokee master cylinder and 3:55 rear, disc up front, converted to 12v, alt, Champion radiator. Should have rebuilt 230 ready this year with George Asche dual 1bbl and split exhaust manifold and hopefully an R10 overdrive as soon as I find one.

 

found this one on the web. I think it looks much better with the Chevy headlight buckets.

 

The truck above is my 52 1/2 ton. A ongoing project and a lot of fun to drive.

 

I adore George, every time I call him we talk for hours. What a gentleman!

Finding gears for the stock early axles sure is a bear. The tallest that I found so far are 3.73 out of a Dodge car.

This is the Cab to my 1938 Plymouth Truck, I have a 1937 Dodge Cab on the Chassis. I have the rest of the 1937 Dodge here in California.

I knew that, a lot of us early Dodge guys are installing later differentials because we can't find taller gears. My trucks are all 4.11 also.... Boo!

All right, I'll fess up...Got one too, just don't tell anyone...D50 ifs, 283, PG, 8" rear. Parts getter, replaced my '34 Ford PU I gave to my son. Funny thing is, Everybody loves trucks !

I have a Hemi for it. Destined to become a ramp truck (in my fantasies!) With regards to rear end gearing: Good news - two speed rear end. Bad news - 5.83 & 8.11 ratios.

 

Nice COE. Don't keep it buried too long. It needs to be out and seen. Have fun with it!

Great idea for a thread. I’m dying for one of these woodies. Time and money is all it takes I guess...

 

Was going to go that route, decided to go “Gasp”, 327/turbo 400 that kinda fell in my lap in great shape and cheap. I know it’s sacreligious, but it’ll MOVE now.

 

You could always change things later, it's easy to do. A 340 would be fun, better yet a 360.

I have Dodges (2x241 & 270 cid), De Soto (341), and Chrysler (354), not to mention a baby 150 cid Daimler! Biggest is best, assuming there's ample room, which I haven't investigated yet.
