I am going to buy some race gas today and get the Fiat out from it's long winter nap.

 

I got very little done yesterday because it was pouring and the van is outside, but it's getting closer. Hopefully my traction parts come in. If not, I'll be hopping down the track, but I'll be on the track!

I got nothing at all done either! 62 has no motor, s10 has broken motor mounts and Normas car died for any reason unknown to man.

I've been getting a lot of emails lately from people bringing cool cars... '64 Polara Max Wedge Super Stock drag car, t-bodied altereds that haven't run the Grove since the '60s, 10 second '55 Chevys, minibikes, etc. This is going to be a GREAT year.

1 week to go! Don't forget, everyone who races will get a special Heads Up waterslide decal, and everyone who races at the Meltdown (July 23) will get a different decal, BUT if you race at BOTH events, you can put the 2 together for a really special decal.

Then there's the Run Whatcha Brung Drags on Aug 6 at Cordova...

I've been getting a lot of emails this week from guys with FEDs, altereds, g***ers, and yes, minibikes. Some of them 8-10 second cars.

 

Well for anyone interested, Bendi "The Stroke" out of Chicago and me, "Big Nick" will be on hand for all your pinstriping and lettering needs! Cars, Bikes and Chicks!!!...Anything! Well, almost anything.

We will probable be set up in the car show area so swing in and say Hi!

 

I will be there filming as well.......so if you have something really cool - and you only plan on making one or two p***es during the day - try to email me and let me know and I will be sure to get it on film.

I will have some DVDs of the Heads Up from 2010/2009 for those in the Chrome Czars - so I will most likely give them to Hellfish and he can distribute as he sees fit.

Hellfish - thanks for mentioning the Aug 6 event at the historic Cordova Dragway.

The Bombers are putting together an event over on THIS side of IL that will be sure to grow over the next few years - just like your event!!!

Current weather forecast at Union Grove for Saturday is promising. Morning clouds clearing by afternoon to turn sunny, high temp of 68 degrees. If so, a bunch better weather than last yhear.
