I finished up painting the front part of the chassis on my '57 Buick, and I changed the door locks on my '63 Buick... Impressive, eh?

  7. Let's see...............Friday was a beautiful day here in Northern New Mexico, so I took the recent acquisition out, a '76 Jeep J10 pickup truck (looks like a '63) out for a hundred mile drive looking for old tin, 45 miles of it on dirt roads. Didn't find any tin, although I did see a Falcon Econoline window van, and Opel GT next a house.

Saturday............... grocery shopping and lunch out.

Sunday............gave away the poisonous African cactus, colored and trimmed my wife's hair.

spent the weekend removing all the insulation from the ceiling and walls of my garage, found one alive rodent (rat ?) and one dead (12 garbage bags full). then today I scraped about a 100 lbs of moss of the roof and put a tarp over it. (it was leaking bad). this is just a temporary fix until the POS city inspectors can finish gettng my permits approved so I can tear it down and build a new 24x48 garage

I went into the cop station and they gave me a bunch of pictures, one of them was of the guy that mugged me a week ago..
Good riddance, hope that guy gets the fear of god put into him before they lock him up..
That, and went to the Hollywood Hot Rods opening..

I also got denied a trade of my Crapvair for a rusted out model A sport coupe body.. I guess I'll never get rid of that fucker..

well thats good..now you at least know what your assailant (sp)
looks like...maybe a payback sneak attack like he pulled on you is in order.

All I got done on the Hot Rod is mocking ..engine and Trans, the remainder of my weekend was splitting and cutting wood for heat, and planing out the roof insulation, for my shop.

Fired off the SBC in a Buick, fought me to the end with a bad "new" coil. Finish the brakes and I'm on the road.

I went to a Halloween party at a co-workers house, dressed as a normal fat guy, and watched people make asses of themselves by the end of the night.

Went and checked out the nailhead, it is all but done, just waiting on an oil pan at this point... no hurry though, it is gonna become garage art for awhile, until I find the next project to start.

Aquired a couple small blocks. One 350 and one 283. Then had to find a place to put them.

    Watched the grandson play football.

  18. Detailed my Riviera...waited around for a no show to come and "definitely buy" my 54 dodge panel (the longer I think about it the more I might keep it) and started working on my 37 international and ate alot of my kids' candy...3 of them trick or treating equals a sugar rush for Daddy

Got the valves adjusted on our '47 Mercury and put the engine back together. It's a lot quieter now than it was before. Not completely quiet, and there's one valve still tapping, but it's much better.

Started getting after some of the rust on the hood too.

No car stuff but my wife and I took our band and played at a CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association) event. Great time with lots of great gospel bands and good church food. Back on the Plymouth next weekend.

Picked up a "new" car. My brother and i drove about 170 miles to get this '65 Volvo Amazon:

No front fenders, engine or transmission. As you all see, there is natures own AC where the floor should have been. Very little interior.

And the price? $0! (well, i gave the guy a Yamaha RD125LC in exchange, but i got that motorcycle for free anyway)

EDIT: Yippi! Now i've got a car to put my B30 inline 6 engine in!

Bought another flathead(really needed that lol)pretty sure its a 48, came out of a boat
that's gone to seed ,it has the original (I think) water cooled exhaust headers (any body interested in the headers PM me)Came back and pulled the engine out of john's roadster to rebuild (4 banger) ,then put it on the trailer and out to storage.Went and looked at a lathe (logan) junk. Then played in a holdem tourney and won 60.00 bucks. All and all not a bad weekend, never got a chance to work on the coupe ,but thats for tuesday night.

Well, lets see, I finally got the Coupe channeled up front and she set really nice. That got me motivated so had a buddy stop over and helped me set the motor in place, oh man had to keep up my momentum but it was getting late so we killed a few brewskies and almost called it a night then, well I couldn't help myself, I wanted to see what the carbs would look like but I don't have the tunnel ram yet, so,,, we used a block I had laying around and presto a manifold was born Hehe :D:eek:

Did something I never thought I'd do- Put my roadster on E Bay. I love the car but I just want a more traditional car for the long runs I've become accustomed to and I would really like to drive cross country with a flathead! If it sells I'll be looking for a suitable donor body, maybe a 30/31 coupe or something slightly newer. Wish me luck.
