Today i was out ridin around and saw a 18 yo kid driving a 40 chevy truck reverse wheels, chopped rusty body, painted chassis, and wide whites! He told me he and his dad built it. he said his dad had a buddy when he was young that started him in drag racing. the kid said they ran a 56 chevy and i thought to myself wow! my pops had a 56 back in the day, when he raced. i told the kid and he asked what my pops name was? I told him and he freaked out and called his dad right then. it turns out my pops helped out at the vocational school and he and the kids dad were pretty good buddies and campaigned the lil 56 in the midwest. well one thing led to the other and the oldtimers are talkin again, but not about the old days, but where they can find another 56! Ill keep you all posted on thier progress. my pops is wearing e bay out! talkin bout spreadin the seeds of hot roddin. it just takes one good friend or family member and you hooked for life!!!!!!
