While it is probably one of the meanest looking Ford coupes of all time I have never seen it run worth a damn. It looks mean, sounds mean but it seldom makes a full pass. When I’ve seen it make a full pass it runs mid nines or so at 135 mph. Hardly even competitive numbers way back when fuel coupes first evolved. I don’t think they get to run it often enough to get a good handle on it. Always great to see it at the track anyway. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I have noticed the same thing in all the videos I have watched. It really has handling issues. Probably a good thing, a full out run might well do a lot of harm. Dose it need 10 foot wheely bars?

Hey I've got a 34 (3) window Hi-boy, steel, chopped 4 ", HEMI, a new rebuilt B&M, very streetable, no handling issues at all just hop in start it drive off. No problems at all. Think they wanna trade straight across. LOL.
a favorite of mine to. it would look better and handle better if they swapped the silly modern top fuel tires for something smaller like it originally had.
The pictures Pete Eastwood posted show how nice the car was at one time. I have never seen the car in person and only as it has been posted on u tube. Real nice too see how it was in the past really neat car.
