As a lot of you here on HAMB know, with only a few exceptions most of the cars that I've owned or built have been Chevy's. Many have come and gone over the years but the one that stays with me is my 32 five window. I like the style and enjoy hearing the reactions when people realize that "Wow it's a Chevy" I don't often see other 32 Chevy's in my area which prompted me to wonder how many other HAMB members now have or have had one.
Great looking cars, yours is a beauty. Few & far between because of the 'wood thing' I suppose. Atta boy!
Until I see it in person, I won't believe you haven't photoshopped the shiny paint, wheels etc to that bloody cool coupe
I had a good friend and fellow club member that had a very nice 32 Chevy 4 door,it was a restorod and one of the nicest 32 Chevy's I have ever seen. BTW,Mikes car was painted almost identical to yours. You and I both know a guy has to have a real passion to build a early 30's Chevy, the amount of wood used it's almost guaranteed some or all of it will need replacing, not for the faint of heart. Yours is a beauty. HRP
I had a 32 5 window Chevy drag car about 17 years ago. I had several people ask why i had a chevy emblem on my ford. Loved that car.
Thanks for the complements guys. As HRP said, it's true I did have to hone my skills as a carpenter for this build. This is what I do when I'm not playing around with Photoshop but I must admit it's a lot easier to fix a screw-up in Photoshop than in the real world.
Nice. I like how accented the black around the beltline, pillar, and roof; good balance with black fenders. I know of one '32 Chevy that I see at local shows. It's as nice and clean as yours. Only thing is it's painted bright red. I like your maroon color so much better.
Very nice, love the 'other 32'. Being a Chevy I owner I know the feeling of being in the minority. This isn't mine but I wish it was. GMH copied the longer wheelbase Vauxhall Hurlington Speedster and produced this one off roadster bodystyle.
Wow..I never saw one of those before. I know that GMHolden has been around awhile but I didn't know they built anything like that. Thanks for the info.
Believe it or not that was the factory color scheme in 32. According to the body tag the car was originally paint Bordeaux maroon and black in the style that it's painted now and I thought that combo would be something different so I decided to go with it. I was able to find a paint chip of the maroon and had my paint supplier matched it for me.
i have always referred to fords as the "other" '32 always like seeing pictures of that car. still haven't seen it in person.
1976 had 32Chevy 5 window chopped 3 inches channeled 6 inches 383 Chrysler with dual quads Olds rear . Pa car had cut down fenders no hood. painted it piss yellow of course.
Now that you mention it, the thread's title does seem to constitute a bit of a roll reversal ...I'll have to be more careful about that in the future.
Can you photoshop it green and change the wheels? Just kidding, nice car! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
You have a beautiful car and I appreciate the effort you put into it. I am in the process of hot ridding my 31 Chevy pickup and love the fact that it's a Chevy. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
