Lets see... 55, 57, 63, 67, 77, 94, 99... can't afford the new stuff but I can appreciate the performancee.
Well @Ryan although you may never own it, at least it carries your family name permanently emblazoned on it's duco.
I've pined away for an L-88 since my teens but they always seem to be just as financially untouchable as the years roll on. I could "settle" for a 425 HP 66 having restored and drove the snot outta one long ago. Metallic maroon, OEM chambered side exhaust, and the owner fitted 67 and newer 7 and 8 inch rally wheels with flat caps. In plain English, that ***** rocked and had a killer "screw you" stance to it. IMO, Vettes belong in this life as much as a Deuce hiboy. Just sayin...
Ryan, you have superb taste. I crewed a B/P C2 roadster in the 70s and went to a few Runoffs and watched young Rick Dittman gradually convert his street split window into a compe***ive National car. Even more so than my own race cars, a C2 coupe with Minilites or 5 spokes defines SCCA racing in the seventies for me. vic
I am lucky enough to have several toys, but on a nice spring day, the most enjoyable hot rod is my 59 vette with 500hp. Personally, I have owned sports cars, the 59 is more hot rod than sports car. recently I got to show a c-5 z06 how an old corvette can be a "hot rod". wish I had a c-2 to park beside it.
