53 Olds- no need to apologize. I'm just trying to help people understand that it takes a while.

Yeah , think about the man hours saved and money saved on rim's and tires and paint the photo wizards have provided with their service. I am grateful and it's a nice thing for them to do.
    Thanks!

    Here's a few options.

  5. Here we go. First off, the basic changes and then in Eggplant with your headlight treatment. I beg you though - leave the belt line chrome on the car! These era cars are so rounded that you can pretty easily turn one into a shapeless blob. The chrome gives it some definition and shape. Looking at the first view I´d probably keep both bumpers too.

    Dave,

Thank you! I love this one. looks freakin great!Any chance you could add louvers in the hood? This is definately the look I was after. I'm just not sure about the louvers and flames.

I'll post 'after ' pics, to see how the photoshop and actual pic compare.

Hey guys ..Great thread!!! Could one of you please modify this picture a little? First Lake headers with just turn outs, no hood sides, and either red or blue wheels, same type as on the car. Also maybe add wide whites and see what it looks like.

    Thanks in advance!!

If your going to chop it how about 2 doorn' it.
Leaving the bumpers, french the headlights
and put the tailights in the bumper gaurds.
Also turn the torsions down and put some
3'' lowering blocks in your Dipomat in the background.:)

Hey, would anyone be willing to help me with a photoshop of my '52 Pontiac? I'm starting to think I might make it into a custom rather than leaving it as is.

Here's what I'm thinking for the car:

    Chopped
    Slanted Pillar
    Lowered
    Lake pipes
    Frenched head/tail lights
    Maybe decked??
    Wide Whites of course
    Tunneled antenna

For color I'm thinking a copper bottom and a black pearl top, or any other color combos that you think might make this car look cool.

Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Could someone shop some color on my car? I don't have a great picture to work with. The idea is the blue on the body, white on the roof, and it's hard to tell on the pic, but the bottom body trim splits and has a strip of paint inside it. That white also.

If my pic isn't good enough let me know and I will find more examples.

    Thanks in advance.

(I did photoshop the rims btw)

Oh yeah, any other details that might look good are welcomed. Scallops in the same white have crossed my mind.

  15. Oh my - sounds like your having a pretty bad time of it. :(
Happy that I could cheer you up, even if it was only a little.

I have to admit I was a little surprised at how slick looking that car turned out. Maybe if you could get some primer on it, make it all one colour, it might well look a whole lot better.:)

  16. Nice flame job on that 58 Druss. Cool.

  17. pretty please....

Those new pics will help a lot. Do you have an example of what Slate Green is? I've got an idea, but an example would help.

You are welcome. I liked the purple version of the original lace, panel job too. The info in the R&C feature on this car says it was done by Donnie Baird at Imperial Customs in Burbank, CA. That boy does some nice work!

This is a great thread. A lot of you just amaze me with your talent. I love seeing how you can transform cars into different options. In my opinion, this is one of the best threads I found.
    Keep up the good work!
