I was going to try this tomorrow to try and get perspective but you guys are much better at this than I am. How about this cab with a 6" chop and 6" (or thereabouts for either) section. I'm going to cheat and take it off the bottom, so you can too. Just keep it channeled about the same amount. Ignore the ugly ass frame as it has already been scrapped...

    ^what are those wheels?

  5. Here´s a start. Don´t forget to narrow the cab a good bit too - it´ll look wierdly wide if you don´t.

  6. i believe they are factory option on XA falcons called a roadwheel. they have the alloy centre and a steel rim but it doesnt look that way

  7. I might go for something like this. I kinda like that green.

Thanks for such a quick job! That lets me know I'm making the right choice. I do plan on narrowing it... Right now it looks like it will be a 6" chop, 6" channel, around 6" section off the bottom and around 10" out of the middle. It should be pretty small when we're down. It is setting right next to my friends Anglia in his garage and it should be smaller that it when it's done.

ok that is bad ass. i am diggin this,,,,

  10. Wanted to add, your back wheels sit too far back at the moment (or the bed is too short). Looks a bit stretched out as it sits. I guess you are planning to lengthen the bed, or?

    Might look better/more balanced.

I'm not a photoshopper - just wondering what it would look like on the real thing.

I'm not going to lengthen the bed. The plan is to shorten the frame something in the 108" wheelbase. Neither of us have cut up a car before. I've owned a chopped A but it was chopped when I got it. He's done bodywork but nothing like this. It will probably go under the knife in the next month.

Here's another of my generic chops, this time I tried those wheels on my Cortina. I went a bit overboard with the shadowing, but oh well, not too bad for a 15min effort I guess.

I think it looks kinda cool really, even with it's weird half paint, half primer colour scheme. Except the stupid taped in windscreen, that sucks!
