don't know about the color (not so advanced in color change), i fink that Bellflower tips will look "heavy" on this flowing body

  2. I got the impression that you only wanted the roof in Root Beer flake so I thought I'd take a shot at it. Cleaned up a bit of the primer and put a molding on the bottom of the sail panel, but that was just guesswork.

But just as I finished up, our old friend Mehitabel showed up. I think she wanted to jump up on the roof while the paint was still wet.

Funny thing is,that is my cat. The cat thing all started when I posted a pic of my old '63 Caddy coupe that I got a while back and sold about 5 or so months ago. She made it in to one of the pictures of the Caddy, and then everyone started photoshopping her in to pics.

Here's the original pic she came from in my driveway:

Thank you super442S . Are you able to do some scallops in the same color and cover the cowl. Thanks again.

You didn't specify in or out of the shell, and since I haven't done a shell one before, I thought I'd give it a shot. :D

Seriously though, since I have no drawing abilities whatsoever, I will leave the scallops to those with talent (and there are MANY here)

  11. :D LOL! Thanx. And God bless you for noticing! Now I'm trying to figure out just how much of a compliment that really is.

"That boy may not know how to paint metal flake in Photoshop, but he sure knows how to put a good shadow on a cat!"

Hey guys wanted to do a quickie question before I cluttered the thread by posting a picture of my shit. I wanted to see if anyone could do a recolor for me, but the car is like, bare metal in some parts, and some parts have brown sealer, and a couple small black pirmer spots, does it all need to be close to the same colors all over to get a good recolor or do you you all have some extra magic up your sleeves? thanks!

It helps- the better the pic overall, the better the result. BUT, someone will be able to make it work- it might not be perfect, but it will definitely help you out.

Did this a few weeks ago- not the best results, but I figured I'd post anyway.

I gotta say, normally not a fan of sectioning, but this is killer!

Cool thanks guys, here goes. Feel free to do whatever you want to it, but my request is something in the realm of a electric-candy-flake blue:eek:

thats what i've had in mind forever on this project and ive had a couple people try to talk me out of it so I figure hey lets put it to "paper/pixels" and either shut the haters up or see the error of my ways with my own two eyes lol.

Yes the car is going to be chopped [once it has FLOORS :D]

thanks in advance for any help everyone!

oh p.s. if you need a bigger sized picture the original is gigantic, I sized it down to post here. I dont know if that matters or not

You guys are flat out amazing, you even added my front clip!

the color I had in mind was the blue on the new ZR-1's
    http://www.zorly.com/images_corvette/2009%20Chevrolet%20Corvette%20ZR1%20blue%20side.jpg

So, James D got the closest on the color i had in mind, but Russian inspired me to atleast consider going a darker, less flamboyant blue. Ive been trippin' hard because i wanna keep the build pretty traditional and I know that color i wanted is no where near traditional, I just love it so much.

    Thanks again you two

well you guys did a great job on the 56 ponch for my hubby, but he has given the car over to me. I would like see it with a hot pink heavy flake roof with a satin black body. If it isn't too difficult I would like some scallops in pink that flow up the wheel radius if that makes any sense. anyone that was at the round up - something similar to the black and gold caddy 60ish caddy.
Here is a pic of the car..

    thanks

  25. Not traditional? You sure...?

Mark Moriaritys wonderful Chevy. Just a tick darker than my PS. I´d go for it if it´s what you like.
